Big Brain: The Game

BeamNG.drive offers a vehicular sandbox with soft-body physics, which is the perfect combination for great destruction. BNG also has a pretty large mod community with a impressive collection of vehicles from planes, boats, and even some cars. Not to mention maps, and props. In it's current state it's pretty much Garry's Mod with cars. Though I believe the devs want to make a shift and add more structured gameplay, and campaigns etc. But even without that it's still a pretty fantastic game.

A good majority of the hate in this game is based on the fact that the progress is slow if you don't spend money in the game, but why is that bad? Every little bit of progress, every single unlock feels like you have actually accomplished something. I regurally finish in the top 5 of my rounds(toots own horn), and i have put a whole 0 dollars into this game. It is not pay to win in anyway, It's more like pay to take away the experience of progress.
In the lower levels it is very rough, but thats what should be expected, you are a private of whatever army you chose. You should be lower than most, that's why you have to play. This game does not reward you for playing it like other fps shooters. The pace is slower than most, and if you use real world tactics, and diversify your squad you will do worlds better. you are rewarded for being organised and working together. You will earn a significant amount more xp by working together and doing as the squad leader says, and you will be more effective as a killing squad.
People fail to mention the neat inventory system that works on a weight, and slot system. So you cant carry a rifle, pistol, grenade, medkit, AT, etc. all at the same time. you need to make a choice on what your designation is going to be. You can even carry extra ammo for your guns at the cost of more weight. More weight of course also makes you slower on the battle field, so carrying a rifle, and cartridges will be much more mobile, than a AT soldier, or medic. A downside to this system is premium gives you extra slots, which i admit does suck, but they still have to abide by the same weight restrictions as everyone else.
Everytime i play this game i enjoy it a ton. It has a feeling that not alot of other ww2 shooters have that make it almost Arma-esk(yes. Bullet ballistics, vehicles, combined forces, weight system, slower matches, guns are deadly.)

I recommend this game, It may annoy you, and be difficult to get proficient at, but it's free, and it's not ugly.

My grandfather smoked and got Cancer. My father smoked and got Cancer. I decided to break the trend and not get Cancer. This game gave me Cancer anyways
