Updated: They fixed some of the issues I had in the March update

Got to the current post-story endgame (volatiles and Deep volatile hunts).
Gameplay is good and fun.

Can't recommend it right now because of a possible bug at a certain point in the main storyline that blocks story progression (kill 2 Mighty Kemono and obtain Charging Essences). The workaround involves finding and joining a session of someone who is at the point before that part of the story then stick around and complete the part of the story that is bugged for you.
Fixed in March update.

Other things that annoy me :
-Karakuri Staff Full Body Blow attack being bugged on Mouse+Keyboard (cannot execute the move on M+KB, is fine with controller). Fixed in March update.
-Cannot bind controls to the side buttons of my mouse (e.g. Mouse 4 and Mouse 5)
-Every ziplines on a map occasionally randomly decides to undeploy itself.
-Some of the hurtboxes of the monster attacks is deceptively bigger than what it looks like.
-(?) No way to untether from a Celestial Anchor Karakuri without going out of range/ using all the charges and 'breaking' it.
-Having to delay my inputs slightly when playing on a high ping connection to the host of the session/ hunt to conjure basic Karakuri; Go too fast and the desync between the client and host will screw your Karakuri placement or combination, go too slow and you could miss the timing where the Karakuri could've been useful for... Or the monster is on you and have destroyed the basic Karakuri you are placing down.

Secrets of the Machine God update

New mission is ok, changes to existing maps are alright. Ogryn Pickaxe is great, Double Barrel is fun and alright, Shockmaul is ok, Bolt Pistol is meh.

Fatshark went on Summer vacation; Hopefully the itemization update in October also includes more content.

Path of Redemption update

Penance system update is alright but need more tuning. Pox gas modifier and Tox bomber is alright.

Waiting for new weapons, captain sub-boss, missions, and Crafting system changes which likely got postponed to whatever Summer update Fatshark is cooking.

The Orthus Offensive update

IMO, the Game is finally out of the unofficial "Early Access" state and has "Launched"; It is easy to recommend it now.

Aside of a few bugs here and there, the occasional crash, and Out of Memory issues for some, the main problem left for the game are the crafting locks for those who hate grinding RNG gears.

~80 hour playtime review

Game is in a good state now with the full (?) crafting system being out.
The QoL mods that are out so far helps with enhancing the experience.

Performance-wise
Very rarely, I will experience performance issues with stuttering or lower frames, but a game or PC restart usually fixes it. When those fails, reinstalling Nvidia driver will fix it for me.

Cosmetic wise
Many people complained about the premium cosmetics shop.
I wasn't as surprised or negative as others as Fatshark already experimented with it in Vermintide 2 by showing paid cosmetics in Lohner's emporium and released additional premium paid DLC. I didn't buy any premium cosmetics back then because they weren't to my tastes (excluding Grail Knight and Warrior Priest cosmetics in the DLC subclass bundles).
There are less exotic cosmetics that you can buy at the Armorer similar to Lohner's Emporium that you using could buy using Ordo Dockets, the in-game currency used to buy gear. There are also 'higher grade' ones that you can get from more challenging/ mission-throwing Penances.

It's fun.
Played mostly on threat level 3, and did 8-10 threat level4 runs (maybe double or triple the total runs if including failures) before beta ends through matchmaking with pubs (sometimes with 1-2 members premade)
I got Zealot to level 25, Psyker to level 11/12, Veteran to level 8/9, Ogryn to level 6.

If you come from Vermintide 2, Zealot is self-explanatory and is great; I play it as a Melee frontliner. You can use the charging/ sliding cover-to-cover towards ranged enemies to force enemies to use melee attacks, the shotgun helps with staggering the ranged enemies while performing the sliding method. Thunderhammer is great, powered attack turns an attack you are performing to single attack and has some longer recovery frames which makes you vulnerable, does moderately-high damage (extra high if crit, e.g. after using your charge) and high stagger power.
Psyker brain burst tactical is very nice for sniping specials, elites (especially Bulwarks), and enemies that are locked on around cover; Force Sword push attack is great for stagger and I'm still not as sold on Force Staff as the charged attack Peril generation seems too high.
Veteran is similar to Vermintide 2 Huntsman and Bounty Hunter I guess. Squishy, but with no escapes. It is focused on range weapon playstyles.
Ogryn felt like a better Footknight and Handmaiden; Its Big size makes it annoying vs ranged enemies in some areas due to low height covers. I used to play squishy-teammates-bodyguard playstyle with Foot Knight Kruber, so Ogryn felt comfortable with that playstyle. The charge ability is very good at crowd controlling enemies. Heavy attacks with the Ogryn melee has a high stagger power. There is also a hidden passive where you carry objectives that are heavy for the other classes faster.

Hellhound felt janky to me. But maybe just need more time to tell the visual/ audio cues of when to dodge.

Closed beta issues: bugs everywhere, DC, CTD, memory issues, dead teammates respawning ahead in the level (could cause level progression softlock due to invisible walls preventing progress after an airlock).
Hopefully the game will also be more optimized.

Bought it mainly for the Parkour experience and shenanigans in coop with friend. It is fun so far, so I recommend it.
Combat challenges are fun and works in coop.
The latter Parkour challenges are challenging and fun but can also be frustrating when done in coop IF you are pursuing the higher tier rewards (gold/ silver completions instead of just bronze). After the host or guest finishes, they have to wait for the other coop partner to finish on a frozen completion screen.

Lots of bugs, especially when playing coop, so you might want to wait until Techland fix most of them. Examples from my playtime so far:
-My coop friend had to reduce the amount of Steam Friends he has to below 300 to be able to host/ join.
-Story interactive object bugging out and becoming non-interactive, requiring coop partner to quit and rejoin or even the host remaking the session.
-Host stuck in a black screen at the start of a story cutscene, most of the time only requiring the coop guest to quit and rejoin the session.
-Power station mini-game cable bugging out / desynced, getting stuck, and cannot be removed by holding F, requiring coop guest to quit and rejoin.
-Power station/ Water Tower faction assignment not giving the perks for the host (did 4 and assigned them all to PK in my friend's campaign playthrough, perk progress is still stuck at the perk before Electric Trap)
-Environment desync between host and guest such as open/ closed door, explosive tank/ fire extinguisher whistling sound and visual effects before explosion.
-There was one case where my coop partner was able to make cutscene choices/ decisions as a guest when I was the host.

You might also need to consider non-coop specific bugs into consideration before buying this game, such as 'kick action executing unintended action when it is rebind to a different key other than default', and missing features such as push-to-talk option for VOIP, that I won't cover in this review.

Playing through the story and endings was a cool experience.
Then go play the repeatable Kaycee's Mod challenge run, which is a bonus.

Hope the game world will be expanded in the future (DLC/ sequel/ different game in same universe).

PSO 2 review:
Most parts are OK, the big boss fights are cool, Ch. 6 was awesome.
Class Level/ Experience grind for newbies will be a boring repetitive slog to go through though.
Still a good source of Star Gems (Freemium currency) for both new and veteran players.

NGS review:
Just like PSO 2, the game has good action combat gameplay and great fashion customization system.

Creative Space and Alliance Space are finally added in the Version 2 update where you can create places, scenery for screenshots, hangouts, obstacle courses, etc.

While you could make a cool and awesome Creative Space, the tools they provide are very bare bones. The lack of tools such as copying/ pasting build parts makes the creation process time consuming and tedious at times.

If you are a new player to PSO 2, NGS will be an easier game to pick up as leveling up and getting EXP is significantly easier and less repetitive to do, and catch up weapons and Armors are given by just playing through the Story Quests, Main Story Tasks, and every other months through seasonal events. Learning movement, combat, and the various systems is easier in NGS as Chapter 1-4 (present) is widely considered as a big tutorial. Chapter 5 is where the Main Story gets explained.

Version 2 update added pay-2-skip tickets as an option for people that wants to skip to the start of the 'current' endgame where most long-time players will be on.

Content update rate are usually as follows:
-Bimonthly Quest/ QoL/ Class related update
-Bimonthly seasonal event
-Semi-annual 'Major' update

For Returning player, it is worth it to return to at least experience Dark Falz R.2, Dark Falz Aegis/ The Battle of Halpha Lake, Geometric Labyrinth Rank 2, Duel Quests, maybe Ordinal Tower, Purple Battledia boss rush, and playing Chapter 5 & 6 which is where the Main Story actually explained/ matters.

Other contents returning player might find worth to at least experience from the Version 2 update so far are the rogue-lite-ish Leciel Exploration Quest which changes daily, and the "Ultra-High Difficulty Quest" Dark Falz Solus / Sign of the Planetbreaker and The Battle of Halpha Lake Part 2/ Malignant Dark Falz Aegis.
