Might be my personal GOTY and this ♥♥♥♥ ain't even out in full release yet

Honestly, yeah I like this game quite a bit. Animations are good, if you're not interested you can mash a button to skip, the main game honestly isn't bad at all, works pretty nice on the Steam Deck. My only real complaint at the end of 100% the game is that it does kinda feel like there should be some sort of reward for doin everything. I thought I was gonna get a special outfit or some kinda cool wand upgrade for doin all the npc quests or having everything done before the final boss, but at the moment (unless there isn't plans for it), you don't get anything

For a starting review for now, ass I play, I will say, this is a *bit* rough and probably should have launched in Early Access. I know EA is seen as a curse but this really needs a lot of updates to polish and make it a really good clean experience and this isn't really a polished enough experience to have been released as a finished game, but don't take this as a negative context cause I already love this game. It's refreshing, the environment is stunning and reminds me a TON of E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy and how Streumon views the Warhammer setting.

I will edit the review when I finish the game and express what I liked, but at the moment there needs to be some additions that will help the game, I feel.

Really, really, really need a ledge grab mechanic for platforming, it's desperately needed and it needs to be generous. We need ways to get over objects that are above the characters' head, like how some other titles do. I never liked platforming in Souls games and it already feels there's no reason to platform to explore the world in this game as you will fall and you will die. Dying has little consequence other than time, but in early game I can already tell the places you spawn at are very sparse so you will lose a LOT of time.

Stamina is particularly punishing early game, missing a combo attack and heavy attacks drain a ton more than you'd expect so you run out fast, it needs a fair bit of balance to make it more manageable.

There really should be some form of jumping attack, maybe at a moderate stamina cost to disincentivize it's overuse?

Bows don't seem to be able to use lock on, which may be intended, but it's a bit awkward as aiming with the bow is rather janky.

Unironically probably one of the best remakes I think I've ever seen, with new additions that keep the game fun for a long while

They literally made the Bloody Suit based off the old Dead Space promo art I actually recommend the extra $10 dollar purchase off on this fact alone, the other suits are icing on top

As you start the game, press Alt + X immediately, and set your DLSS to balanced, performance, or ultra performance. Play with it, but I would actually recommend ultra performance this time, it holds together extremely well and it saves you a ton of frames. If you need to, in the Alt + X menu, change the settings below that from ultra to high or custom and play around with the values
