Tried this game for about 2 hours, I found myself trying to force myself to have fun. I found this game to be boring, more searching for ammo and clothing, then actual fighting. Maybe it gets better later in the game, IDK. But this was not enjoyable for me enough to try to get that far into the game. Same robot AI over and over, and over again.

My last review of Hunt showdown was in 2019, and it stayed positive for 3 years. After 8000 hours of enjoyment and stress, I'm changing it to a don't buy this game as of 2022. The game used to be fun, It's not anymore. You'll find your self killing someone in game, watching him fall to his death, getting the rush of getting that kill, only to die 1 second later to the guy currently laying on the ground dead. Then you'll run into moments where players might not even be looking at you or not having their guns drawn at the ready and somehow they still kill you. It's all about the Horrible Dsync these servers have and the Devs allowing 4 years of PING abuse. Hunt is one of those games where if you have high ping, you have about 1/2 second peek advantage. They also will often kill you after you are behind cover. It is incredibly frustrating. The Devs have also added a lot of one shot kill weapons and spam weapons into the game, taking away from the once enjoyable gun play, now some newbie can carry dual pistols and head shot you 60 meters away despite not being able to aim. It happens way more then it should. Also every patch is followed up with new bugs. Guns not being able to reload, being poisoned for the entire match, Lemat gun bug where you can one shot people with a single bullet. This game sucks and every new bug they know about takes weeks to fix, allowing people to exploit it for weeks. DONT BUY THIS GAME!

very fun, lots of stuff to do.... and Free!

One of my favorite VR games, worth the $19.99, You have alot of fun shooting the Drones flying around you. Not only can you dodge the incoming lasers, You literally pull a shield from your back to block them as well, the drawback being ofcourse that you only have one gun, instead of two by doing so. But if you want a shield that also has a bit of offensive punch, swith to the lightsaber fishing pole laser grabber thingy majiggy, Not sure what to call it but basically you can block the shots with a sword, that can also pull in your enemies. then you can choose to slam them into the ground, or blast them with your favorite choice of 6 types of guns, that are quickly accessible VIA Thumb pad. Bottom line, you'll sweat and have a good time doing so. You might even catch yourself getting pumped up by the great sound track and yelling at the dang drones that our trying to kill you. Its the battle of the best. And this game does a good job of making you feel like you are there. I say buy it for atleast 5-10 hours of good fun, then come back to on occasion to play again, mostly because you miss it.

This game is the first game in awhile I could get addicted to, every bad review seems to be less than an hour of game play, with the exception of a few. Which is disapointing, because I almost did not download this game because of the reviews. You quickly unlock skills and craft items, As you level up the crafting time increases. I do not see a need to pay to win, But i do not mind forking over a few bucks for a great game, because without profit, great games would not be made. I enjoy this game.

My one major complaint is the wait time to get into action, can take up to 10 minutes to find a match, sometimes it times out because it can not find a match for you
