It's worth four dollars! If it's over that, don't get it.

If it's on sale, get it. It's definitely in Alpha and it really shows, but there's potential here. I feel as if when Workshop support opens up it'll also speed up this game in leaps and bounds.

Another review change, lets go kiddies.

We didn't win anything. Multiple countries are still incapable of touching or doing anything with this game anymore, despite not having to link PSN currently. That doesn't mean Sony won't walk this back.

On top of that, the balance in the game is still a crapshoot. Instead of bringing things up to par, they continually hammer down anything the players might enjoy, keep putting out premium passes with actual crap in them that can't even be considered a sidegrade, and the times that something might be even slightly enjoyable it's suddenly slammed and hammered in to the ground.

They complained that we used shield and railgun too much, so these things got nerfed when they didn't listen for MONTHS on end about why it was that way. They FINALLY made changes to the health boxes and armor systems, and we were supposed to pat them on the back and say "Good job guys!"

Their community managers continually insulted and put down people who had legitimate complaints or worries about the game even before the sony incident, and then they continually give us horrible advice such as "Please use your stratagems!"

Ah yes, my basic stratagem that's balanced to do jack and ♥♥♥♥ on a 5 minute cooldown, extended to more because there's 2-3 different modifiers that all make my stratagems just absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unfeasible to use.

Sony was not the thing that made me want to look at this game and uninstall it, it was just the straw that broke the camels back, and if ANYONE thinks that 'we've won', the game is still riddled with issues and the fact that every single country on that list STILL hasn't been relisted means that they WILL try again.

We haven't won anything, and the greatest irony is this game would have done so much better had they decided not to continually ♥♥♥♥ with it.

Good game, marred by really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bosses.

So lets start from the top here. The story is top notch. It takes a while to get going, but once you get to know the characters motives, their general behavior, and most of all, their dreams (because even though it doesn't say it directly, dreams are a major motif of this game) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you get attached. Top tier character writing.

The AC to AC fights are also great. If you're not just double cheesing on songbirds and shotties, etc, honestly? They can get really hard...but each pilot has a distinctive style. And you can tell. Almost every named pilot fights differently, and tries to work with their set up. These are true Mech to Mech fights, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are they so good. Sure, they can be over fast if you're good...or if they get the jump on you, but that's fine. The style of each fight still comes through, the pressure will still have you on your seat in some cases. The depression from some of the ones you don't want to fight also...

The level design is just a fantastic thing also. Good use of cover, good use of general areas, good use of theme-ing for each one. You may revisit some maps, but you'll notice small details here and there every time. Sometimes it's not even interactive, but certain things have changed through the course of the story. Check the wall. Seriously. You'll go back there more than once, and each time you'll find more small details really showing it as a central spot for fighting and problems.

Now, the only bad part of this game...the bosses. Specifically the 3 major set piece bosses everyone griped about, and I'm about to add to those gripes. I had my difficulties with them at first, overcame them, but lets be real. They don't belong. They're Souls fights in a game that doesn't have I-Frames, doesn't allow you to get more Estus (And yes, I said more not more powerful, yes I know there's a chip for that), and punishes you for not having specific builds unless you're hyper great at this game. If that's you, good for you. This is for the average player as a review. The bosses are bad. Their health bars are far too large, they don't follow the rules of the game when it comes to shield usage, etc. They all have gimmicks, but it takes away from the actual core of the combat. If you're ever having a problem, let me tell you the secret. Songbirds. Gatlings or Shotties. Treads. High health, go to town. Please try to get past them if you can, it's worth it do so.

Oh, and to end on a positive note. Don't discount the OST. It can be quiet in some areas, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they put their best in to this again. From Soft hits it away with the music every time.

Edit: Oh, and ♥♥♥♥ Snail and his little ♥♥♥♥♥ ass, man lived like a ♥♥♥♥♥, cried like a ♥♥♥♥♥, and died like a ♥♥♥♥♥.

Constantly pushing out corrupted map images on export that foundry shows as a black screen since last update. Until this is fixed, this program is essentially useless to me, might as well go back to using Dungeon Painter Studio

Edit: No longer an issue! Some recent patch has stopped pushing a bunch of black screen images!
