A resounding YES.

Ignore all the wimps on the Steam forums QQ'ing about lack of mouselook and reviewbombing the game because they can't jump or look up and down. THIS is how Doom should be played. Fast. Simple. Fun.

It may not appeal to purists but for us who grew up with computer in that age remember this game fondly.

Fair warning tho: This game is NOT Call Of Duty. There is no regenerating health. The fights are rarely fair. The difficulty spikes at times. There is no mouselook, no jumping, no crouching. This is DOOM.

This is a RE-RELEASE, updated to a new engine to run better on modern PCs while keeping it faithful to the original. not a remake. They added some much-needed QoL and accessibility features and changed the control mappings a little, but I am not complaining. this game honours the Doom franchise I fell in love with in 1993.

ID Software and Nightdive Studios have done a great service to gaming community by releasing this amazing game, and as a FREE update for the owners of original Doom and/or Doom2, along with a FREE new official episode.

A buggy piece of cr@p that everyone treats it as a masterpiece.

The lore is okay, the story is not bad, but the worst offense to all gamers everywhere is the fact the engine is a buggy, unstable mess that Bethesda are either incapable or unwilling to fix and instead just keep releasing the same game over and over, because, hey, free money for zero effort.

I don't get how this is still legal somehow.

Without the rage-inducing helicopter that absolutely ruins your visibility constantly, blinds you with a searchlight and throws debris on you so you can't see jack ♥♥♥♥ and the cringy ang annoying backseat driving and irritating comments from the other "teammates" (rivals?) this expansion could be actually fun.

I can't play this expansion more than half an hour at a time because the bright lights, the rain effect and the darkness and the crap flying at me is giving me a MASSIVE headache.

If you have any issues with getting headaches from playing games with bright, flashing, steer clear.
Especially if you are light-sensitive with history of seizures.

Makes the turn-y circle-y thingy in front of you look different.
Very tune.

Jokes aside, the DLC has some lovely looking designs, and some really weird ones. I personally go for the more traditional looking wooden ones to match the interior, but there are steering wheels with all sorts of spokes for those who are that way inclined.

These have absolutely no effect on the handling on the truck but can be used to improve your immersion to game by changing how the turne-y circle-y thingy that makes the truck front wheels turn looks.

If you want to support the creator and you have all the map expansions, sure grab it, it is often for sale for cheap.

This game is quite relaxing and calming as you barrel down the roads across the Europe, hauling anything from used packaging to heavy machinery (with appropriate DLC) and dry goods between locations.

The gameplay loop is quite satisfying and there is just something strangely "zen" about the landscapes and the vistas around the Europe (somewhat scaled down).

The game was released after American Truck Simulator, but the differences are not major. The main difference in the game is that the scenery is much more detailed and the roads are more narrow and challenging and there is less monotony. In some areas there are a lot of toll booths and security checkpoints which is a little annoying but they become routine eventually.

The game is a little bit DLC-heavy, but aside form map packs and cargo packs that allow more cargo types, they are not really required. The map DLCs cover most of the EU, with plans to cover the entire EU. I believe so there will be plenty more to explore in the future.

Would I recommend buying this full price? Maybe.
On a sale? Definitely, with a few map expansions.

Neat little idle game, for spending those few extra minutes when you are bored. :P

Better than Diablo 3 and 4.

A simple little racing game, good if you are into classic racers like Outrun, Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge series or similar.

Worth getting on a sale.

There seems to be an issue with the game is AI being pretty inconsistent.
Sometimes you get to the lead in first few corners and the AI will never catch up without even trying, and sometimes you never even get to see the leading 3 cars even when you drive perfectly.

Simple and fun little DLC, very helpful for learning the ropes in the game. The difficulty level is not too bad at all.
