Shadow Gens is peak sonic level design. My god these levels are GOOD

Menu music goes hard

They actually managed to make a good 3D Sonic game after Generations. W H A T

Gameplay can be a little jank at times but a majority of it is fun open world Sonic that handles the best he ever has since Adventure 1.

Story is also a treat, if this is your first Sonic game its decent... BUT
If you have kept up to speed (please laugh) with Sonic's past games back to even the classics, there is a lot here for you to love. Ian Flynn helping out on Frontiers REALLY helped the characters personalities grow, pretty much on par with the Adventure games.

Overall, extremely solid 8/10 for me. Game kinda falls off at the end and the Pop in and Graphics need work, but everything else EASILY makes up for it.




Soundtrack and Boss Fights ♥♥♥♥♥♥ slap also

God I love this game.

I absolutely loved the original Dying Light back in 2016, hell I'd easily say it was one of my favourite games I'd played up to that point.
So the pure excitement and joy I got from an announcement of its sequel in 2018 could not be put into words.
I wanted this game
I NEEDED THIS GAME

Years passed, with delays, rumors spreading of the game being put on hold indefinitely, all leading up to a December 2021 release date.
Whiiiiiich then became a February 2022 release date.
Now was the wait worth it?

Without a doubt, without a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ doubt.

Dying Light 2 improves on nearly everything the original did.
The Story is much better than the original
The Music incredible compared to the original (which was already really good)
The GAMEPLAY... oh god the gameplay is perfect

Seriously the only few faults I have with this game are just a few bugs needing to be ironed out here and there and besides that, its one of the best open world games out there.

Techland, THANK YOU!

You guys absolutely delivered on this game, I'm glad you took the time you did making and polishing this masterpiece of an experience.

You've outdone yourself, I can't wait to see what you create in the future.
Until then, I'll be sinking every waking moment I have into;

Running and jumping between rooftops listening to this games godly dynamic soundtrack reacting to every environmental change (seriously this is one of the best things in this game coming from an audio buff)

Pinning Zombies down, using them as a cushion for landing off a cliff

And of course, jumping off the highest buildings in the map just to land on a car

(And yes, dropkicking is still the biggest dopamine hit you can get in any video game)

Buy it.
Don't look up anything, just buy it.

This is one of those games that thrives off you not knowing whats coming next, and dear god
its rewards your curiosity well.

EASILY one of the best games released in 2021, the amount of love put into something as simple as a 'Card Game' is outstanding.

I can press 1 button and send my mate at Mach 4 into a nearby spike wall.
