Maybe us supposedly "review-bombing" this game will get Blizzard to open up their eyes and see that this game is just a mess of lies and unfulfilled promises.

Extorting shadows just to break the Japanese Economy sounds like a good idea

Paladins is a great game to pick-up if one does not intend to spend money on its more famous counterpart Overwatch. It has basically what one would expect from a fantasy FPS game which is similar to Overwatch form mechs,magic and even chickens. This review will talk about the pros and cons of this game particularly the latest patch which is OB44.


Pros: Its Free To Play making it edge out over similar genre games that requires money to be spent on. Contrary to people thinking its a copy of OW it's not an exact Carbon Copy of the game itself. It has a key mechanic which differntiates it from OW and that is card loudouts it. It has a similar feel to League of Legends in terms of its runes system but in Paladins its called a card loudout. It allows abilities to be buffed before the start of the match and allows players to determine what playstyle they intend to go for. An example to this whould be Sha Lin which is an archer that has a card that allows his Impaler Arrow to have a lower cooldown and have a higher knockback. This allows players to be able to focus on one specific ability and thus making it their playstyle. The matches do not last too long with most matches lasting an average 15-20 minutes this however is shorter or longer depending on how coordinated a team is to play the objective.
Alternating gamemodes is one that i find interesting and makes it similar to League of Legnds with their style of gamemodes. Paladins gamemode will have 5 players be pitted against AI controlled Champions and would have much stronger abilties then their normal counterparts making them much more challenging and requiring either much higher coordination or rely pure luck.


Cons: The game in its current patch feels to be P2W and endorses new players to cash out some money all to get some cards within the game especially the newer legendary cards which was introduced. Ways that one can get cards is through buying chests and obtaining essences from them through obtaining duplicate cards which can then be used to craft cards if one has obtained enough essences. However the essence system is a total mess right now with hogher rarity cards being extremely expensive to obtain. This hinders the new player experience with veterans even feeling that the game is just becoming too grindy too obtain the cards that one needs. However though after overcoming that hurdle the player experience settles down and becomes easier to play the game. The game is extremely laggy and servers can be unstable at times with teams and players even laggin out to a point everything just stops. Competitive rank system is literally luck based with players gaining and losing an average of 150 competitive ranking points and luck plays quite a lot with players looking like a 5k player but in reality was extremely lucky enough to get to that point .


Overall though this game though has problems like a P2W environment currently it is still in its open beta and has alot of potential to grow and be a really good game which can potentially tip Overwatch from its current standing if Hi-Rez gets their act together and fix this game..

Not gonna lie was unsure whether this game was gonna be good or bad because of the short clips and screenshots in game but after trying it out for a while found the game to be extremely addicting would definitely recommend 10/10

Really great game made better after the 6.84 patch its a pity they nerfed troll wardlord cause thats my fav hero to play but nevertheless awesome game
