A remarkably terrible game. Almost defines the pay-to-win genre. Performance in the game is dependent on how much money you spend and how much time you can waste playing.

But hey, at least the graphics are alright.

I bought this game expecting something cool and suspenseful and replayable, but what I got was a half-baked product that was so low-quality that I couldn't believe that the developers would release something so unfinished under the tag of 'Early-development'.

The first thing you'll notice in this game is the complete lack of challenge. The bots are completely easy to avoid, and hunger isn't really ever a struggle or challenge for the player because you can find food everywhere in the towns. The only part of the game that comes close to difficult is when the air-balloons fly around and spot you with their spotlight.

Second, there's absolutely nothing to do in this game. Every game has some sort of direction it wants players to go in. Even DayZ has the loosely defined goal of 'getting tons of cool stuff, making a helicopter, and killing other players'. But in Sir, You Are Being Hunted, there is nothing that the player needs to accomplish. The developers /knew/ this would be a problem in an open-world, single-player game like this, but do you know how they tried to fix it? They added a goal where players need to follow these little shiny 'wisp' looking things to crystal shards so that they can go to another island.

As a player, I'm left thinking, 'why do I want to even do that'? What's my motivation to collect the shards? The next island is gonna look pretty much the same, and it isn't going to be any harder to clear than the last. The game itself is a chore. A chore I paid like $15 for, and not even a fun one like pulling lint out of an AC filter.

Don't buy this game. I bought it a year ago expecting the money to help the developers work even faster on the game and make a great final product, but now the game is pretty much the same as it was when I bought it.

Oh, and one final note. The voice-work in this game is pathetic. It's some guy with a painfully-fake British accent talking into a headphone microphone. You can even hear it 'pop' when he says 'p' syllables because they didn't even have a professional microphone with a pop guard. It makes me angry to think where the 'early-development' money PLUS the kickstarter money went.

It might be kinda unfair to rate this game after only playing for 10 minutes, but it's so un-fun already that it feels wrong to not give it a negative review. There's no apparent goal or anything to do in this game. You spawn randomly into somewhere in the wilderness, and you collect items. That's really it.

If I had to describe the game in ten words, it would be "Like DayZ but with really bad graphics and no zombies". I could totally get past the ugly voxel-looking art if there was actually something to do in the game, but there's not. It's the same old, "You guys collect stuff and then kill other players" model that Rust uses. In fact, the game is remarkably similar to Rust, unsurprisingly since the developer worked on Rust. If you don't believe me, compare and contrast the crafting lists of the two games:

http://playrustwiki.com/wiki/List_of_things_to_Craft
http://unturned.wikia.com/wiki/Crafting_Recipes

It's kinda pointless reviewing this game because it's free, so I recommend that you guys play it for a few minutes, realize how terrible it is, and then remember not to buy it if it costs money later on.

I like this game but I'm not recommending it because they added this terrible feature where you can set a 'Kiai Sound' and your character will play 5-seconds of audio at the beginning of every round. This is terrible because everyone thinks: "Oh hey, you know what would be great? 5-seconds of some crappy dubstep song I like. Everyone will love hearing this every few minutes when it's my turn!".

Worst of all, I cannot turn off the sound. There's only a master-slider and an effect slider for audio. So you're forced to either listen to 5-seconds of someone's blaring loud, crappy music every round, or have no sound at all.

I've played this game for many years and I'm still not gonna recommend it because this is annoying as ♥♥♥♥. Add a slider for Kiai/hitsound volume and I'll change my review.

This game is pretty simple, but it's one of most addicting, hilarious, and not to mention memorable (PASS THE WHISKEY!) games I have played in a long time. Highly, highly recommended

Textbook pay-to-win garbage. People who put extra money into the game to buy premium weapons win more. Just spend your money on a balanced, fair game instead of paying out the nose to win at this piece of garbage.
