For me, as for long-time Madness Combat fan, this game like a gift from heaven. First and foremost i want to say that i didn't like this game at all, when i first time played it. My actual experience was when first public demo released at Steam, and god that was awful. Normally i didn't play demos, i prefer to play finished product or at least early access. But Madness Combat mean so much for me, so i can't pass by. I was so hyped and booted this demo right away, but unfortunately my experience was.. Terrible. Gameplay was too rough on edges for my liking, i don't know how much levels exactly in demo, but i ended up without finishing even a first one. I left disappointed, waited this game for all this years and just got slap on my face. That a bad first impression. But anyway i buy this game when it's finally released, and i don't know what's really changed after demo.. And if changed at all (Or i was just retarded when playing demo), but this game just got me hooked right away! I am super surprised how polished this little game and are mostly bug-free (7 years in development after all), you still get few minor bugs here and there, but nothing major that will break something and ruin your experience. At least i didn't encountered something like this. Got few problems with getting achievements in Arena Mode, but devs patched this soon enough. Overall this game is awesome, there is still few bad levels and some questionable design decisions. Also i think levels need more checkpoints, especially on hard and long levels at the end of Story Mode, but despite all this i think this game mostly well made. I can't be thankful enough how much love devs put in this project, almost everything in this game at top. Visual presentation are great, gameplay is extremely fun and music is incredible.. What else did you need from game like this? Just good old cartoony violence. In terms of content, the game is quite rich. We got Story Mode, take control of your favorite protagonists of Madness Combat universe and blast through awesomely handcrafted levels to take down Project Nexus, and all this with easy to use Drop In \ Drop Out co-op. I don't remember how much it take me to finish Story Mode on my first playthrough, but it feels long enough. Next one is Arena Mode, where you play as your own custom character and build your own company from rock bottom. Also Arena Mode have little replay value, which is nice. And finally a Playground, where you can play with assets from whole game. What else did you need to know about this game? Well.. Controls are little bit confusing. I guess devs try to make this game is faithful to animated series as possible, so you can shoot, dodge, takedown enemies, use melee weapons, dual wield, also dual wield melee weapons, throw stuff.. You get a point. Well, this variety of actions lead to a bit messy controls. But i guess it's come naturally with more time you play, just don't bother with dual wielding weapons on your first time if this is isn't necessary, it's make your life easier to adjust to controls. At the end i want to say that i think this is are solid product at reasonable price. Especially if you are Madness Combat fan like me, this is a must buy. Although there is enough content in the game at the moment, i just wish there is more. Sadly most of Kickstarter goals isn't get enough money, but i would like to see more new content and i will gladly buy DLCs if there any plans for that. Well, one final shout to devs, once again thanks for all your work, for bringing back good old childhood memories. All these long years have been worth the wait!

Yeah, still needs lots of polish. But anyway, this maybe best game in Serious Sam series.. For now, of course

Better than sh*tty Apocryph in all possible aspects. Another old school masterpiece from New Blood Interactive with awesome as hell music by Andrew Hulshult. Absolutely recommend it, if you are fan of Heretic \ HeXen games or just love good old school shooters. Worth checking out. Keep it up that way New Blood Interactive, you guys making me proud
