I just finished my first playthrough. I consider myself a TRPG guru--one of my favorite genre. Conclusion: I loved this game. If you're on the fence and happen to read this, don't hesitate any further. I thought it was appropriately challenging; not too difficult, and almost all battle restarts were because I didn't like suffering the loss of a summon for the end of battle bonus, and I made it a point never to use free battles. The story was decent/good, the gameplay fantastic, and I already find myself wishing this game was longer. The only con I can think of was the collector in me found myself frequently restarting the game if I didn't get any luck bonus in the campfire events.
