I just finished Knight Bewitched, so here are my thoughts:

Knights Bewitched is a above average JRPG inspired RPG Maker game. If you're looking for great RPGs you found one! The story is very subversive in a way as you start off playing Ruth an already established and well renowned knight of Ambrose. Everyone loves you in the city-state of Halonia. You start off in mid mission and take down a "powerful" dragon. So Ruth's level one is basically everyone else's level 100. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice change of pace and as a player leaves you with this since of wanting to know Ruth more.

Here's where the huge BUT comes in. The story leaves players wanting for more. It's a simple 10 hr game and for a JRPG is significantly tinier then the competition. Probably why it costs $4.99. We don't get to know Ruth as a character other than the basic "Lawful Good Knight" persona. I feel like Ruth grew as a character to be honest here. But I also feel as if changes were sudden, with little to no transitional periods whenever something big will happen.

We don't see Ruth thinking about what right and wrong actually means or see her falling in love with Gwen. It just happens. I feel like it's happening but GOD I don't see it in the dialog or character interactions. It's like my mind is filling in the blanks of entire story arcs. You know B is suppose to happen to get to C but NO it goes from A straight to C, no B. No moments where Ruth gets flustered around Gwen. No moments of Gwen flirting but ultimately failing to do so because Ruth is oblivious. It goes from 0 to 100 real quick. Like I can see where Joshua tried. In the beginning Ruth and Gwen have a strange relationship where Gwen would say Ruthie and Ruth will suddenly blank and agree with whatever Gwen says she wants to do, then Ruth just says fine to what ever Gwen says then Ruth confesses her love to Gwen. Like I see you put in the effort Mr. Joshua but honestly if you want a romance subplot your going to have to try harder.

Is the game worth 4.99? Yes. Despite everything I just said, Knight Bewitched is still an enjoyable experience. Despite its nonexistent Romance subplot, Knight Bewitched STILL has a well thought out story with significant character moments that will make you laugh, go "awwwww", and smile at. Knight Bewitched is a great game and a decent JRPG experience. Though the romance flops I still think Ruth and Gwen are super cute. You can tell Joshua loves what he does and really tried to make a Lesbian Fantasy Love Story, with dragons and all; and that effort doesn't go unnoticed. He's even making a Knight Bewitched 2, witch (get it?) seems like he has had some success with this video game.

So lets talk about the game.

The world of Ambrose is small. It doesn't take you long to go from one side of the world to the next. Though the world map might be small, it has its fair share of secrets. For example Winterfall Cavern, hosts a couple of Ice puzzles and materials you need to make the best weapons in the game. It also hides an optional boss, said in one of the very few walk-throughs as "the hardest boss in the game". Midnight Desert is a puzzle in itself. Completely dark and literally no way to navigate. It's a lot of trial and error. A hidden Fairy Village that has no world map indicator, and don't get me started on Deepforge 2.

Deepforge 2 is an optional area with the hardest mobs known to mankind. Don't even look at it if your party isn't level 25, and even though you can find Super Bosses in Winterfall Cavern and Helonia, Deepforge 2 has several, yeah you heard me right, SEVERAL Optional Super Bosses. I haven't completed Deepforge 2 as of writing this. I have no idea if I'm even near the end or not. Joshua if your reading this I'm stuck at the boss that has angel wings and Ruth knows her. Those are the only hints I'm giving to the readers but Joshua should know what I'm talking about. She's Ruth-less ahhahahahahah! Honestly though Josh buddy, pal, give a girl some tips.

Other then that, Joshua knows how to make a good JRPG. The gameplay is exciting and if you put it on the hardest difficulty you will be grinding and learning attack patterns till your hair falls out. I'm not sure how old JRPGs are suppose to be but I was just as lost as when I played the first Final Fantasy. No world map, no quest log until you meet Gwen's sisters. No way of knowing where to go next. It's such a rush!

So if you've read to the end. The story of Knight Bewitched is engaging, the romance subplot is nonexistent, Ruth and Gwen are still cute though, Gameplay is amazing, world is filled with secrets, optional bosses will kick your ASS. Buy Knight Bewitched! I'm going to buy the rest of the saga after I get the funds. Thanks for reading!

PS. Thank you Joshua Keith for making a game that has a main character I can actually connect with. As a gay woman, though Hispanic and not white, it honestly fills me with joy playing this game. It means a lot that you even considered making the main character a woman to begin with but making her a gay woman with a very gay love interest means the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you take this review well.

So I found this game on Tumblr like months ago. It was a review by Yuri-Mother and they loved it. It was highly praised.

Does it live up to the hype? HELL YES! Gawd Tara is my spirit animal! Like Studio Elan is watching me or something! So yeah my favorite character is Tara. And it's not only because she's trans (like me)!

Honestly it really made me so happy to find out that she is trans. We don't get a lot of representation and honestly Studio Elan.... if you ever read this... thank you. Thank you so much. You cannot even understand how happy this makes me. And she's a lesbian! Bonus points!

So yeah I'm biased. Honestly I don't care. This VN was really good. The art is so captivating like I had to stop and stare at some of the moments. Not only that everyone looks so good. Like the art style is so cute. It contrasts with the story but in a good way. It amplifies the cruelty of the main villain and the villagers. Like the things that happen or happened to Morgan is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥. And to see the characters have sex or curse is like gawd I don't know how to explain it. Like it's kinda funny but only in retrospect. Like me you'll be too invested in the story to really notice the clash.

The music is very soothing too. Like it's exciting when exciting things happen and calm when it needs to be. The ambiance is very well supported by the music. Nothing is truly out of place. Everything has been composed well and is used even better.

There is only one true con to this game. Lack of choices. I've played a bunch of VNs and 9 times out of 10 they give the player multiple choices. This VN does not. It's very much a straight shot (except their all gay). As the player you only choose three choices. Plus there is no incentive to go for the other endings. I once had a choice at the end of the game that didn't matter. And that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Why put choice in your game? I think it would sell just as well without the choices. The story holds up even with the lack of gameplay. Honest. Might be biased as a gay transwomen.

One more nitpick and this should 100% not sway you from buying the game. I bought the game full price and I do not regret it. So my nitpick..... They're all white. That's right as great as this game is, as much as I am in love with it, it still irks me that the characters are all white. But its not a huge issue. Not one that ruined my experience with the game and one that probably won't ever. It's just always annoying is all.

10/10 you have to buy this game at full price! Support the creators and soon a VA updating will be coming! (Wish I would have known... would have tried for Tara) I'm looking so forward to it. BUY THIS GAME! Its worth it. Trust me.

I have never been so emotionally attached to a game before. In the beginning I'm confused, the character is confused. No one is home. You're scared, but you find the key and get inside. Everything is dark but soon it will all be lit because of your paranoia.

I will say this. You will love this game. You will smile, blush, cry, be angry. You don't know how many times I smiled in this game. The more I played it the more I wanted to find out what happened. As I digged deeper I heard about all that happened to Kattie's little sister, Sam. Who you'll feel is your little sister by the end of this game.

I know at the end, I wanted to find Sam. Not because I was mad or that I think she did the wrong thing... but to make sure that she was okay.. and to have a proper goodbye and good luck. Times are tough. It's getting better but it's still hard to be a teen. Throughout the house I kept finding books. The parents had books about raising teenagers (which I do not think is a good idea) while Sam was writing books and doing her own little stupid thing. And this girl. This girl who makes Sam super happy.

It's a thrill. It is all just a thrill. I'm not sure about Uncle's or Dad's or Mom's story. But I do know I need an explaination. An explaination for what they did.

Gone Home is one of those games that Hit Home for me.

I'm not sure it should have been in that type of age. 1995 seems like a, *spoiler*, really homophobic time. I mean all times before the 2000 were pretty homophobic.

I have no complaints it was given to me as a gift but if I had bought it I would not regret my purhese

This is such a beautiful game. Its worth the full price. The stunning artwork and gameplay. I'm playing on Hardcore and it just keeps me on my toes. Its just a very amazing game. Dust is such a confused character at first but is not like any other. His personality and style will make you remember him. Fidget is such a cute little girl. Sarcastic and charming. I'd hug her if there weren't a chance of her molling my face off. The story is so mezmorising and the world is just beautiful. Its much more than I thought it would be. If you have the money I suggest you get this game. Its just wonderful.
