Honestly not very far in, but I was put off by this game very heavily for the "Epic Games exclusive" crap, and waited for it to go on Steam.

Once it came to Steam, I then waited even longer. Just playing now, wow this game is fun. Very immersive and scratches the "Fallout 3/New Vegas" itch I had.

Honestly I was really excited for Reach to come out, but as it sits right now, I'm going to have to say to avoid the game right now.

My biggest issue was the same thing I had playing Reach years ago: The DMR is the only weapon you will see. Aside from maybe the Energy Sword/Rocket Launcher/Shotgun in some maps/gamemodes, the DMR just remains to be a powerhouse and makes every weapon that spawns on the map obsolete, and since you spawn with it, that's all you get killed by. Controller Players get a HUGE advantage since they have Auto-Aim enabled for Controller Usage. It's INSANELY BAD. LIKE REALLY BAD. PLEASE FIX THIS, THE ADVANTAGE IS SO HUGE.

The Cosmetic/Rewards has been turned into a weird Battlepass-type thing, so you can't unlock Items at any kind of free will. I've been playing for hours now and have maybe 6 Helmets and no other cosmetic armors unlocked. There was literally nothing wrong with the Credits System from the Xbox 360. Why am I forced to spend Tokens on the Battle Pass if I can only buy what I just leveled up? What's the point? Why not just unlock it for me automatically?

The Audio in this game is really weird. The campaign will sometimes go slow-mo and cut in and out, and overall everything just sounds muffled/suppressed, like a really bad EQ Settings was forced onto everyone. Even with a good headset this game sounds like you have a pillow over your ears.

Other than that, I don't think much else is wrong. The game runs smoothly and barely uses any CPU/GPU to run, so it makes my laptop super quiet and cool. Aiming/Driving with Mouse+Keyboard feels good, and the game is pretty as hell on 1080P.

Wait until they inevitably patch this game a bit and focus on the health/community, and this will be an EASY decision to buy for $10.

Early Access Review
Honestly, the game is very grind-heavy. You die, you restart from the beginning. You keep any permanent skills you've unlocked, but lose that SUPER COOL SWORD THAT I JUST GOT LITERALLY 5 MINUTES AGO YOU FFFFFF-

I can't stay away from this game. The combat is fun, the controls are nice, plenty of cool Weapons with their own unique stats randomly generated, think Borderlands.
