Warning: The devs recently broke this game from a technical standpoint. This isn't just something that can be fixed with a hotfix overnight, these are deep problems. They pushed the DLC and update out the door without enough QA and dev time for a quick buck. Gotta give those shareholders dividends instead of actually making games Randy! yay for trickle down capitalism, so much "innovation"

Side note: Do not blame the devs at Gearbox. Workers should not take the blame for the decisions and pressures of capital holders. If the rich are to be given decision making power simply for being rich (thanks Reagan/Thatcher), then they should be held accountable as well.

I love(d) this game. It is(was) a lot of fun, but you should stay far away from it until it's reverted to the previous PC version. Incidentally, there are ways to rollback steam updates. Idk if it will work for multiplayer since I have yet to try that. GL to everyone who keeps playing ♥

Just got nostalgic about this game. I wish it didn't die

Played a lot when I was young and it was one of the best PvP games I've experienced

It could probably take off again if whoever owns the IP modernized it and added cosmetics or whatever

Fun, but one or two of the puzzles were a bit broken. The first was the wiring on the control board to power up the strider cannon (the hitboxes for the knobs were weird). And the other was one of the shoot an energy ball at the thing, but indirectly and using a spawned in one instead. Which required a lot of save loading cause of the physics engine.

It also felt like I was showered with health even on the max difficulty, but thinking back regular hl2 was probably like that as well.

I would've also liked more and varied voice lines for the protagonist.

Horrible and unethical publisher/developer. They are currently trying to shut down modding to the single player game and prevented multiplayer modes separate to their built in online. Oh, and the problem in online with cheaters mostly comes from the fact that they don't have a place for those kinds of players (meaning private servers without character progression so they can have fun with their friends or other players that like to mess around).
