Despite the advantages, the biggest problem with this game is pacing. Especially for a game centered around leading a county, 1 year being 10 minutes can be fine, but the player has little to do during that time. Without anything to fill that time span, the game feels very slow. Unless you are used to online multiplayer time scales such as with Conflict of Nations, this game is not for you if you are into grand strategy games.

However this game is for you if you want to build a country from nothing.

Given my new strategy to play a game to its fullest before giving my opinion on it, I'd say I've done that with Half Life 2. The game has a lot to offer, and I still haven't done everything there is to do, so many more play throughs are warranted.

Some of the aspects I liked about the game include:

The Story
I love the story, and especially how its done in this game. Your goal to fight against a seemingly impossible force to save humanity, though cliche is very deserving in its execution. Especially with all the characters in the game, and how you learn the story throughout the game through indirect information is amazing.

Engine
The source engine has allowed for this game to live up to what I thought it was going to be. Just messing around with the physics props was some of the most entertaining things ever, and especially how well the engine allows for certain things like proper vehicle physics and explosives all work together perfectly.

Finally, editing my review after all this time I can give a better opinion on this game.

Firstly I do enjoy this game. Despite its lack of development, and buggy nature, the developer did go out of his way to make it possible to edit almost any aspect of the game, allowing for unique experiences each play through.

The thing I enjoy the most about this game is especially its easy game play, which usually makes me come back to it when I have nothing better to do and I want to waste some time. And its even more fun crafting stories from the setting in-game. The controls allow for quick actions, with everything quite easy to do.

This game is, if you can get over all the bugs, a perfect example of what a mobile port to PC should be.
