Gears For Breakfast really outdid themselves with A Hat in Time, a massive home run! This game has barely been out for two years and is one of my favorites to date. I'm not normally an enormous fan of platformers, but A Hat in Time found a way to bring new light into them for me. The individual levels are usually somewhat simple, while still maintaining a creative exploration of the game's mechanics in order to not become stale. There's something for everyone, be it those new to the genre of platformers or those looking for a challenge. Death Wish Mode made me have to walk away from my computer a couple times to think of how to beat the levels. The soundtrack for it is amazing and I listen to it fairly frequently, the boss battles slap and the remixes on the b-side do things I couldn't dream of from a music standpoint. I highly recommend this game for anyone looking to or even thinking about getting it.
