I've played this game for 1200+ hours. A couple days ago, Payday 2 became two years old, which means that their annual "Crimefest" event rolls around. Last year, we got good content. This year, we get microtransactions. We get Pay to Win mechanics. We get a game that many people have sinked 120+ dollars into by purchasing the base game and DLC a miniscule chance of getting an even stronger, more effecient version of the weapon they already own. At $2.50 a pop for an extremely small chance to get a skin that improves the stats of the gun, along with the "weapon rebalance" which is essentially the official port of a previously known mod (Dead Man's Chest Weapon Overhaul), the blatant power creep in order to facilitate casual gaming for the inevitable Free To Play marketing ploy to come into play, and the fact that Overkill has been increasingly hostile towards the community's suggestions toward this supposed celebration of Payday 2's birthday cuts it for me.

I'm done. If you play this game after reading this post, be prepared to be treated like cattle.
