Quick, cheap fun with friends! Right now it only has two maps, but they're really well made, and I appreciate how different they are from each other. The difficulties are also nice, it's not just "oh this is hard, and this is uh, slightly harder???" It actually changes how you have to play the game.
Definitely worth the $5, especially if they're going to release free new maps. You can get $5 worth of fun out of this as is, but I imagine the value will only go up as they add more content.

I came here expecting a straight up Phasmophobia ripoff, and while I'd recommend it to people who like Phasmophobia, I would say that it's different enough to be able to enjoy both of them separately!

10/10 joined a cult and got put into a chokehold by a literal demon, kinky.
0/10 she did not text me back after her exorcism :(

If you're going to get one of the DLCs, get the other one, and grab it on sale.

To be honest, the costumes in the DLCs get phased out pretty quickly when you get new gear with more interesting buffs and effects. I never even touched these three (While I used two out of the other DLC pack), and while 50 cents is nothing to cry over, I probably wouldn't have bought this pack if I could have.

To make this worthwhile, they should have included "leveled up" variants of the costumes that you unlock as you level, otherwise, these are really only useful for the start of the game, if even. Once again, I never touched them, especially since the other DLC pack had pretty useful class-specific costumes.

My advice? Save your cents, or buy it on sale if you HAVE to have it.

*Also keep in mind, these costumes are NOT needed for the achievements!

I wish there was a middle ground between giving positive and negative feedback on DLC.
So the game itself is absolutely amazing, I already wrote a review about it, it's awesome! But the DLCs are pretty lacking. If you're going to get them, definitely grab them on a super sale. Save your $3 and go buy a fancy coffee, which will give you much more enjoyment.

For this specific one, I'm only giving positive feedback because they are SLIGHTLY useful. As a jew class, I did use the Holy Defender costume for a while, and during my achievement runthrough, I found out way too late that the Rogue Assassin costume would have given me more money, but I'd recommend it, as buying all of the equipment is a pain.

This makes more sense when you realize it was for pre-orders. It's a nice pre-order that doesn't block you from actual content, and you can easily live without it. It's also nice that they give you the option to buy it afterwards, in case you missed the pre-order. But honestly, I'd say you could definitely live without it, if your life really feels empty, buy it on sale.

*Also, these costumes DO NOT count towards the achievement!

First off, if you're a fan of South Park, stop reading the reviews and buy this, it's basically as if someone gave a South Park episode every drug in existence and made it so you can play it, it's any South Park fan's wet dream.
If you're NOT a fan of South Park, then why are you even on a page for a game based on a tv show you hate? Idk, buy it anyway and die mad when you give an abortion to a man and then have to fight ♥♥♥♥ zombie fetuses .
If you've never watched South Park, stop wasting your life and go watch it, then come back when your innocent soul has been corrupted.

Anyway, this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic and blew all of my expectations out of the water. I've been a fan of South Park since I was little (Probably too young to be watching South Park, tbh, sorry Mom), and this game was just absolute candy for me. You get to create your own little character and journey throughout South Park (and a wee bit beyond). That alone is enough for me, but it goes above and beyond that. Along the way, you'll meet and buddy up with characters from the show, collect Chinpokomon, fight an array of enemies ranging from rats and preschoolers to Government agents, homeless people, fetuses, and more.
The game is definitely not for the faint of heart, if you don't like South Park or "dark humor", then you should probably find a different game. I mean, at one point, you're literally fighting ♥♥♥♥ zombie mutant bacteria inside of a gay man's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, which is full of semen, sex toys, and other things that definitely do not belong in a person's butt .

I'm a huge fan of the little world details. A lot of "junk" items that are clever references can be found, characters I forgot about were hiding or wanting me to complete a task, the comments characters made about me, the world around us, situations (i.e. Cartman makes a comment about you being like Kyle's mom if you choose the spray tan skin and the "Jew" class), it all was put together so well, in a way that kept me constantly entertained and laughing. And while I feel like there are definitely some missed opportunities as far as references and achievements go, I think it's hilarious that you get an achievement for calling a character to aid you in a fight while you are LITERALLY crawling around in their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ . Speaking of achievements, there are a LOT that can be missed. So if you're a completionist, consult a guide, cause some are kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I have a few complaints I guess, but having played the successor (Fractured But Whole) in the past, I know a lot of these are fixed/improved upon in that one. The combat, for instance, gets reaaaaally repetitive. I did two run throughs, one on my own, and one with a guide to get the achievements, and by the end of my second runthrough, I was really just done with combat. For quick combat, I would recommend the Jew class. You unlock a pretty great ability that can wipe out entire groups within a turn or two.

All in all, it's a really great game! I'm glad to be done with it, mainly cause getting all the achievements suucckkkeeeddd, but also because I really look forward to playing The Fractured But Whole next, since I never finished it on console. I'd definitely recommend this to any fans of South Park, obviously. But even if you just wanna check it out, I'd say grabbing it on sale would be worth it. And for what it's worth, while a general knowledge of South Park would be needed to understand the references, you could definitely play without ever watching an episode. In addition, I haven't watched the episodes that cover the stick of truth, and it's still enjoyable to me. It'd probably be more enjoyable if I watched them, but I won't be buying a HBO subscription until Hell freezes over.

Edited to add: I'd recommend against buying the DLC, they're both just costumes that become obsolete really fast. I did use the thief and jew class specific clothing, but not for very long. The DLC costumes are also not needed for the achievements.

I've had this sitting in my library for a really long time, and finally decided to play through it the other day.
This is honestly a really, really well made game, though I'd really consider it more along the lines of a visual novel, rather than "game".
It's a cute story about a boy and a bird, with NO dialogue throughout the whole thing. However, despite the lack of words, the game does a really good job of telling its story and getting emotions across to you. At the end, I couldn't believe I was crying over a pixelated bird that I knew for like, an hour.
On top of that, it's incredibly beautiful. The visuals are absolutely gorgeous, especially when they show the moon and the stars.
There are some confusing bits, the developers used interesting ways to show the story, and I had a hard time understanding if certain things were really happening, or if they were metaphors. Once you get past that and just accept it as it is, then it's an enjoyable, smooth sailing ride throughout.
I also really appreciate the little bits of varied gameplay. For the most part, it's cutscenes or you moving the boy, but every now and then, you get special actions such as jumping in puddles (my personal favorite).
While everything was done well in my opinion, I think this game excelled at really taking me back to my childhood. While I can't really relate too much to any exact situations in the story, I could through the visuals, emotions, music, etc., it was all just a very innocent, carefree feeling of "simpler days".
Overall, a really great little gem! Expect to set aside an hour or two to play through it, and keep a box of tissues handy for the (happy) tears.

Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥.
What an absolute masterpiece, my heart was twisted and torn and thrown around side to side as I went through this heart wrenching tale. The faint of heart need go no further, this one is for serious detectives only, and ones who can stomach such horrific scenes.
Some little ♥♥♥♥♥ ruined a WELCOMING PARADE for the new girl in town, like the heartless bastard they are. You, Frog Detective, must solve this case and bring them to justice. It's a tough one, I almost lost myself there between finding all five of the scattered pies and getting the mayor a rug. Why does the mayor need a rug? Idk, probably for BODIES. Why are the pies scattered? Idk, probably, cause, MURDER.
After a harsh investigation, many tears, and literal extortion, I cracked the case.
BUT THEN
I was faced with a HORRIBLE decision. My heart, or my duty. Would you like to know what decision I had to make? What horrible, terrible, life or death decision? Then play Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard, but be warned, this isn't for the weakling little ♥♥♥♥♥ detectives, this is for hard ironed detectives like Lobster Cop, for the detectives who've seen real ♥♥♥♥ and can handle it. Don't say I didn't warn you.

VERY short, but also a cute and laid back mystery! I'd recommend moreso for a younger audience, given how short it is, the visuals, and simplicity. However, as an adult, I was still able to enjoy it.
Very simple, very easy, very cute. Good music too! I just wish it was a bit longer. The dev made such wonderful characters and dialogue, I'll definitely be booting up the second one to get more!
The humor was also just very entertaining! Catch it on a sale, especially if you have younger kids, and enjoy a quick silly mystery :)

One thing I can't figure out though, when passing by the mouse ghost detective, there's a little alcove where you can sometimes see a blobfish (I think?) peeking up at you, then they go away. They're never mentioned, hinted towards, and you cannot interact with where they came from.
Blobfish? Random character? Or... A GHOST? *Cue spooky dun dun duns*

First off, let me just point out, that this game is definitely not for everyone. All of my friends that I've recommended it to have replied with "Yeah, not my style", and there's nothing wrong with that. If you like cute, cheery, happy games, ones where you can kick back and relax, this is it.
Calico is very unique in its gameplay, nothing mind-blowingly spectacular, but unique and beautiful.
It's overall just a calming experience. You have a cute cafe, set in a cute world, with cute characters, cute animals. You have no time limits, you don't NEED to run the cafe, in fact, you don't NEED to do anything. If you want to, you could just run around on the island for hours ignoring all of your responsibilities. It's relaxing, silly, and cute. Of course, there are missions to do, most of them are just fetch quests, or a back and forth. Some will be adding a furniture type to your cafe, cooking up a treat, or finding a certain animal. If you don't take it seriously, you'll find a very enjoyable experience full of fun. I received this for Christmas, and it was the perfect way to wind down after a crazy week. If you're like me, and have an itch for riding horses (It is so hard to find a good horse-riding game these days...), then be joyous! You can ride, like, everything! EVEN THE CATS!
It is not without fault, of course. There are a few bugs, none are game-breaking, and most are just ever so mildly inconvenient (Like a character getting stuck). It was really short, and I feel like the cafe management part could have been improved upon. In addition to that, it was kind of hard to figure everything out to start! It took a little while for me to get up on my feet, know where I was going, where to refer to for my next step, and until the end of the game to realize I had a map!
Despite this, Calico is a really silly, fun, and relaxing game. If you're looking for a world to just escape into for a while, this is it. The scenery and music are top notch, and the freedom granted at the end really helps you go anywhere to relax. It only took me seven hours to get every achievement, and probably less if I didn't spend so much of my time just goofing off! So, yes, short. Enjoy each moment, really live in the world, and have fun.
As a side note, it was really nice to see the LGBTQ+ representation (Characters in gay relationships, characters with they/them pronouns, etc.), as well as plus size rep! My heart did a happy little skip when I saw plus size characters like me! It's not often that people my size are represented as being "cute", or really represented in any positive way at all, so once again, this was awesome. <3

At this point, I've played for nine (Nearly ten) hours straight. In short, it's a great game, but definitely don't be afraid to go googling things when you're confused! Also a word to the wise, don't be alarmed when you get a quest that you cannot complete yet. Just let it sit, do other things, and eventually, it'll become really obvious what your next step is towards completing that quest.

I started off initially kinda skipping through dialogue and running around aimlessly with no clue what to do, so at about 3 in-game days in, I restarted and paid more attention. If you really read through everything and pay attention to what's going on, you'll do fine! Sometimes though, the game kinda leaves you in the dark. Some more touching up on the quest lists and recipes would be nice. Not everything I need to do is added to the NPC's list, I can't really find anywhere that says what I need for crafting unless I'm at the table, and sometimes I don't understand instruction but the NPC won't repeat it. But really, those are my only issues, and they're minor. As you play, you kinda just start figuring out to do when you get lost or confused, and naturally, the internet is a great source of explanation.
If you're someone who likes the typical farming sim (i.e. Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, etc.), but also the kind of "darker" humor, you'll probably like this. It has the charming characters, pretty pixel environment, fun dialogue, great music, etc., that is present in a lot of good "farming sims" (Though, in this, while farming produce is an aspect, you're moreso farming corpses I guess?). On the flip side, this has more of a story than the other games I mentioned. While you are free to go about your business, there's a lot more linear stuff to do than just "plant seed, grow plant, sell plant, buy chicken, pet chicken, sell egg, etc." It's more like, there's all these characters with different requests, you satisfy said requests while unlocking new features and tending to your graveyard. There's foraging, farming, gravekeeping, crafting, fetching, and so forth. You progress more through specific tasks rather than just collecting a lot of money from selling things. It's enough like a "farming sim" that I feel like I can compare it to one and recommend it to friends who like farming sims, but different enough to be enjoyable and unique in its own ways. It really is interesting, in many more ways than one, and the darker content is something that isn't usually very present in this genre of games, I mean, you start off with someone getting in a car accident, and within the first few minutes of the game, you're digging up a skull that tells you how to harvest human flesh. (Not really that big of a spoiler, but whatever)
As a small side note, if you're someone who is more comfortable playing with a controller, I feel as though it is very controller friendly and even the menus are easy to navigate!

It's got great humor, interesting mechanics, some pretty intricate crafting, and is overall done very well. I mean, I played it for nearly ten hours with no break. It is now 4am, I have work in the morning, and I've lost all control over my life and sleep schedule because of a communist donkey and talking skull with amnesia.

One of the first games I ever played, I have logged hundreds of hours on the 360. I finally decided to buy it on PC, broke it a few times with mods, and got it working again. If you have played it in the past and are considering giving it another go, do it! Despite how many times I've stepped out those sewer gates, I don't think I'll ever lose the nostalgic feeling. If you've played before on xbox, play it again with mods (But don't break it like I did!) And if you've never played Oblivion, but have played Skyrim or any of the Fallout games, I'm positive you'll like this one too. Once you look past some of the dated things, you see a lot of depth and features that should have, but didn't, make it into Skyrim. If you haven't played any of the games I listed (Have you been living under a rock...?), then I'd suggest starting with Skyrim or Fallout 4, as they are tremendously more entertaining. Oblivion, due to its age, can be a bit hard for someone new to get into. Being one of my first games, I have pretty biased opinions.
***Side note, if you get the horse armor DLC, don't put it on Shadowmere. Unless it's been fixed, the horse armor on Shadowmere changes its entity and allows it to die. Don't let this stop you from buying the other DLCs, however!
