Very short game! About 20-30 minutes (Excluding New Game+)
Ruff Night At The Gallery is a short (As previously mentioned) collect & survive type game, similar to Slender. Your objective is to go around to all the exhibits, collecting keys without getting "licked" by the paintings! (Which are all dog-versions of famous paintings!)
The game itself isn't scary in the sense that most games are, but it's still a little frightening. First, you don't entirely know what you're doing, so figuring things out and stumbling your way through adds to the fear factor (I consider this a positive instead of a negative!). There are mild jumpscares when you get licked, which are terrifying, but most terrifying is how aggressive the paintings can get. I'll be honest, I screamed several times throughout and almost quit lol.

Anyway, a short game for free, it's worth a little playthrough! It's short, sweet, and fun. Also seems like a good game to play and then force onto your friends to watch them suffer.

Overall, FaceRig is pretty good, depending on what you need it for.
If you're just looking to have fun with it, use during Zoom meetings, or with friends, it's totally awesome and you should grab it!

If you're looking to create content (Vtubing), you *might* want to look for something a bit nicer or newer. I tried out Animaze, but was not impressed at all. However, my vtuber model was sent as a "Facerig ready" file, so I used this instead of other things. In the future, I'll probably look for something else, unless Animaze becomes good, or Facerig gets a fresh coat of paint with some QoL improvements. I was also pretty upset that my model didn't work properly in Animaze, given they're basically the same program. I didn't like Animaze when I tried it out, but maybe I would with some improvements, but I can't do it if the model I paid out the ass for doesn't work in it.

It's not bad, it's just definitely outdated-feeling. You can't project a widget like other programs, no transparent background, etc.. For some reason, it also pushes my computer to its limits.
Worst of all though, the face tracking is abhorrent. I have to put my hair up and in a headband for my face to be tracked, and if you have glasses, forget about it, it's not happening. And when it does happen, your character constantly looks like they're having a stroke. If you do manage to get a non-stroking out character that is being tracked, you have to stay very, very, VERY still! One slight movement or adjustment and boom, you lose tracking.

Despite that, Facerig looks like it might be the best option for people just getting into content making/vtubing, definitely look up some tutorials on how to get your model into a program like OBS, and familiarize yourself with it. I know I said a lot of critical things, but that's mainly because they're things I wish I would have known going in, and things I wish I knew before buying a model made for Facerig, and not another program.

Super fun! Just grab all the extra killers on sale, trust me, you'll start playing all "Ohhh I don't need all those fancy killers I'll use what the game gives me!", then you'll buy one, and then another, and you'll play against a really good licensed killer and it all goes downhill from there.
I love the cosmetic items, a lot are really well designed, and I think it's really creative that the licensed characters can have cosmetics that actually "change" them (name, sounds, etc.).
Matchmaking can be a little wonky, and sometimes you just get really salty people who ragequit the moment they mess up, but for the most part, it's great!
I personally have a lot of fun playing as a killer, but if you've got a good group of friends, go survivor. If you happen to have a group of five, go custom matches and cycle out who the killer is! It's really fun to learn new things that way, without the sometimes toxic matchmaking.

If anything is bad (In addition to occasional weird matchmaking), I'd say some of the killers are in great need of a buff. I don't know how they got through the test server tbh, and it makes me sad to see such cool concepts go to waste.

I was badgered into reading Umineko by my brother, as it is one of his favorite (if not the favorite) VNs ever, and now I share that exact feeling!
If you're a fan of horror, mystery, detective-style things, puzzles, then this is your thing. I'm a real big fan of "whodunit" type mysteries, making Umineko perfect, but with a twist. It's not your typical "whodunit", Umineko finds ways to trick you, and your line of thinking. It makes you question what you're seeing and reading, and what you can trust.
It sounds kinda scary and daunting, like, you're gonna have to do a bunch of thinking? No one likes thinking!
But there are for sure two ways to read Umineko, and neither is wrong. You will be content just reading it, letting the words go by without thinking about the mysteries and trying to solve them. Don't get twisted into thinking you HAVE to solve each and every single mystery, Umineko is just as much of a treat without you playing detective. At the same time, if you want the challenge, then go for it! There are tons of mysteries to be solved, so you won't find yourself bored.
Overall, Umineko is an absolute masterpiece. I feel like it's a bit of a "hidden gem" (Ugh I hate that phrase), and I don't see it talked about enough. It's written well, and even though some of the features may show its age (2007), it's still not lacking in the department of being incredible.
As a fair warning, Umineko is fairly long. I have spent 72ish hours on just the Question Arcs, I don't know how long the Answer Arcs will take. And on occasion, it can move very slowly. However, the payoff is worth it in the end. I would suggest taking Umineko in chunks. The episodes are long, but taking a break in between them is fine, and you should be able to pick up right where you left off. (I finished Chapter 3 in April, then started 4 in June)

Lastly, don't go looking up things online! At all! None! Even doing something as small as looking up some cool art or trying to solve the epitaph will lead to spoilers.
Anyway, happy hunting!

First off, what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing ride that was.

I'm a first time player to Mass Effect, to be honest, I only started playing it because it's a really important game to my boyfriend, and I am SO glad I did. I put in about 130ish hours within two weeks, start to finish, doing NEARLY everything I could. My only regret is I wish I could go back and re-experience it all over again with the same rollercoaster of emotions that I felt going through the trilogy.

Every entry is amazing, even given their age (I know they have an uplift in Legendary Edition, but I mean mechanics-wise). ME1 is a bit more on the exploration side than ME2 and ME3, but they're all incredibly fantastic and, in my opinion, unique in the gaming world. I absolutely LOVE that you can carry over your character and their decisions from game to game, and while I've heard some disappointment in the lack of connectivity, I actually was incredibly impressed! Especially once you reach ME3, learning some decisions you made in ME1, no matter how small, could make an impact. The characters grow on you, each one with their own unique backstory and quirks. I fell in love with Garrus, whose personality is shifted a bit to reflect the choices you make, but found myself at odds with Zaeed, until, of course, I helped him win a claw crane game. Oh yeah, the best part in the entire trilogy? The Citadel DLC for ME3. If you want the best experience, play it directly after Priority: Horizon. It's a fun and silly DLC that really lets you dig more into the relationships of your crew, and their relationships with you. There's a lot more lighthearted fun, and some quips at things in ME1 like the elevator ride discussions, or how Shepard dances like a crippled elcor. There's a LOT of super cool DLC throughout the trilogy, but the Citadel DLC will hold a special place in my heart.
The connectivity is seriously wild, with all these little details here and there. You can find a guy in ME1 trying to get a refund, in ME2, he was sent to the warehouse and still can't get his refund. In ME3, you can finally help him get his refund, like, 2-3 years later lmao. There's a lot of stuff like this that can easily be missed, so scour around everywhere and really breathe in everything. Even the smallest side missions in ME1 can make an impact in ME3.

Going back to your decisions, I know it's tempting to look up guides, but don't. Just play through, do what sounds best to you. See how everything plays out, AND THEN go online looking for things. You will want to keep multiple saves in ME2 and ME3, but I really suggest you try to do their "end game challenges" on your own, without guides. I got through ME2's just fine, but ME3 I missed the "best possible ending" by a hair, so I'll be going back for that one!

All in all, Mass Effect is super unique, and it's so easy to lose yourself in the story and characters. Soon you'll find yourself ordering Garrus body pillows and Mordin plushies (He SINGS and has a SEASHELL!!!). You'll find yourself laughing at all the characters little quips at each other, their snarky remarks (Looking at you, Garrus.), and you'll be crying as you lose them along the way. Sometimes, because of your own stupid mistakes. Other times because their sacrifice was bigger than everything else.
So if you feel like having fun and crying and cursing at the Mako because ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, IT'S STUCK AGAIN AND-, ahem, and laughing and experiencing such a living world and feeling SUPER COOL, then buy Mass Effect, it's worth it.

***Only downside? I don't like going through Origin, and sometimes I have some issues with Origin wanting to be weird while trying to launch. But that will probably be any Origin game you buy through Steam.

I haven't played the survivor yet, but the killer is too much fun!
He's apparently not considered strong, but I've had a lot of very successful matches with him. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who likes the Huntress, he's like a fast paced version of her. You need more hits to injure/down someone, but it really pays off and is easy to do. And at this point in the game, it really seems like people don't understand how to counter him.
He also just fits very nicely, somehow... He's unique, way different from the other killers in style and visual, but somehow, it works. He's also just plain fun. Whether you "win" a match or not, you're going to have a blast. His music, his vocals, everything.

As someone who hated RE7 (But have yet to play it on PC, so I might change my mind, I was on PS4), but loved every other entry, I was really skeptical. But I'm glad I gave it a go anyway! Everything here from the story, characters, enemies, it's all done really well! I will say that the best part is the castle, it definitely outshines the other parts, but they still had their charms. Each section was just plain fun!
I really enjoyed the ending, a LOT, and I'm already anxious for DLC or the next entry. I also bought the extra DLC, which isn't worth it at its price point, but if you can catch it on sale, it's pretty great! All the concept art and explanation for the stuff in RE7 made me consider giving it another try.
If you're a fan of any entry in the RE franchise, then you will probably find something you like about this one. It has action, spookiness, some puzzles (Not as much as I wanted, but they were good puzzles when they happened), and overall, it's just great. Definitely a big step up from the negative experience I got outta RE7, and I'm anxious for the next entry!

Give it a try, especially if RE7 left a bad taste in your mouth, you won't be disappointed. (Or maybe you will, idk, what am I, your mom?)

*Edited to add, my PC is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and it ran perfectly fine! Like, it's several years old with failing parts and is frankensteined together with other people's handmedown parts. The only time I had issues was fighting big Mommy Milker's daughters, the bugs overloaded my game lmao but I managed.

Can't wait to play the full game! Definitely give the demo a go, especially if you're on the fence about buying Village.
Kinda dumb though how they only give you sixty minutes, but you get stopped if you reach a certain point anyway. At that point, just let me replay the segments however much I want.
One kinda cool thing though, I definitely appreciate how they did the achievements. You get an achievement for each segment of time you spend playing, which is really useful for knowing how much time you have left.
Also, you can easily complete both options within the allowed time. Still, I think it's stupid how it's timed lol.
Oh I probably should say something funny now, right? Something about hot vampire chick or something?
Uhhh

So first off, I've been excited about this game for a while. If you're on the fence or unsure, just snag it during a sale (I got mine on a Humble Bundle).
While it definitely needs some work, this game was still a total delight. It gave me huge Windwaker vibes, maybe Windwaker minus the fighting, plus farming?
I feel as though the devs have such beautiful groundwork laid out for what could, with a little bit of work, become a total Steam Library staple. I really appreciate that they have a roadmap planned out and they're going to continue to improve the game! Because even though I loved the game, it still had its flaws.
The art style is incredible, the animated cut scenes were beautiful, I never got tired of the music (And I usually do by the end of a game), and it just overall, felt so fun and relaxing. Unlocking more islands bit by bit, exploring them, checking out their secrets. The characters you encounter are all so fun, with unique quests and stories.

Something that bothered me a lot, is that there's all this cool stuff, fishing, farming, quests, characters, boating, adventuring, but it all kind of felt half done, especially on the adventuring side. Some places, you go to, and you're just like "Is this it? Do I come back later? Am I supposed to do or have something here?" and it's just, nothing. On one hand, you can appreciate the diverse islands and how they're designed, but on the other, I felt disappointed at knowing that there were all these beautiful islands and half of them had no true purpose, maybe even more than half.
With the quests, I also felt a tinge of disappointment at how many were fetch quests. And on that note, also annoyed. Some quests were hidden, rightfully, behind "advance [X]'s quest to further this one". And that makes sense. But early on, you can get pretty far in some quests and hit a roadblock where you need an item that won't be obtainable for a LONG time. I wasted a lot of my time looking for these items, before finally googling things to see that I couldn't get it for another long time. It just made it hard to know what to do next. Some more tips or hints during quests would be very nice! I think I read somewhere that the devs were planning on doing that, which would make the experience better overall.
With quests, I am a little sad, reading through the artbook (Which is a must have!), the lore, going through all the quests, and seeing all the cool things that could have been touched on more. Maybe a future DLC or second game? And how come, even though it is HEAVILY hinted at, we never get the reveal that it was (Spoils) Dunna who caused the ship explosion that orphaned Koa?
I really wanted that touched on more! And some of the characters, like Aquila, seem to have such a rich backstory that I want to hear more about!

Another kind of warning, is there is a lot of bugs. My game crashed continously, or bugged out to the point of needing Alt-F4'd, sometimes I started quests out of order (Litio's, I raced him before I "met" him). One of the achievements, to cook 50 things, was bugged out for me as well. Someone in the bug report said they found the achievement requirements, and in the code, it actually requires you cook 100 things! Also, I ran out of fuel once during a point in time where fast travel was blocked, and was just... stuck. Normally, you'd call Caleb, the ship dude, to come get you. But I couldn't, because I was at a point where they blocked any and all forms of fast travel. Luckily, you can very easily edit the game files to add items, so I added fuel when I was stuck, and milk (to spam make cheese) when I was trying to figure out if the achievement for cooking was broken. And for the crashes, the auto-save system managed to save me every time, I never lost anything, thankfully!
On the note of fast travel, it's also kinda dumb that you can do it even without any money. At the end of the game, when money didn't matter, it was nice to be able to just fast travel around to get the last few achievements, but I also abused that during the game while just playing.

So basically, my main problem boils down to "I'm a greedy hoe and I want more content" because I just love it so much. The devs have made such a beautiful, wonderful, happy world filled with amazing characters and adventure! Also, mad props for being one of the few non-LGBT+ focused games that features a married gay male couple! Mostly, in any kind of media, you only see lesbians, and hardly ever gay dudes, UNLESS, the media in question is LGBT+ focused. But for something like this, it was nice to just see a passive gay couple. It made my heart all happy inside <3

That being said, it was a super fun game, a wonderful experience, and I'll be eagerly awaiting new content!

11/10 Ruined kid's birthday party WITH FIRE, marched zombies across a city, and pet a dog

If that's not enough to make you buy it, then FINE, let me give "rEaL" reasons.
This is a really unique and cute game unlike any other that I've really played. Each level, you play as a cloud with a variety of cloud powers to solve puzzles, do weird tasks, or cause mayhem. Some levels are super intricate, following a "story" (Like the definitely "not" Legend of Zelda level), and can take quite a bit. Others are much quicker, or just for fun, like painting or raining down hands to pet a dog. (No seriously, there is a point where you rain hands to pet a dog. It's amazing.)
It's also LOADED with references to other popular media, there's a whole level centered around The Office, a Legend of Zelda adventure, Louise's hat from Bob's Burgers, a Wolfenstein/Doom style arcade level, and I'm pretty sure the level "Quiet Little Mountain Town" is a reference to South Park. There's tons more that probably went over my head, but either way, they were all super fun to experience!
As a side note before I forget, the game recommends you use a controller to play, and while I didn't try it with a keyboard, it does feel very natural with a controller!

I happened upon a demo for this game out of boredom, and I'm so glad I did. I've only played for five hours, but it feels like I've gotten so much more out of it, and there's NG+ objectives now! So that's pretty dope.
There's really only a few things I would change if I could, and that's if I'm being a picky Karen:
-Add player "profiles", I want to share with my siblings, and we could always library share, but it'd still be a nice feature. :) (Okay, maybe this comes from a place of "I drew a phallic symbol on my cloud's face and I don't want to explain it to my little sister")
-Maybe an easier difficulty for youngins? I'm thinking of my little sister, who would probably LOVE this game. But some levels are challenging (Which is a good thing, I appreciated the challenge!), and seeing as how the playful silliness of this could attract a younger audience, maybe adding in an easier difficulty would make it better for them.
-When you start NG+, it'd be nice to see all the hidden objectives as well! Or maybe hints to get the hidden decor items in the level selection map. Maybe this happens after you finish NG+, but I don't see why it would, but if it did, I'll come edit this out. I just reached NG+ myself, which is awesome btw!

Anyway, all in all, it's a super fun game. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for just silly fun. You get to play as an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cloud that goes around terrorizing people and causing mass destruction, what more could you ask for? :)
