Onward was filled with jerks, only a few nice ones that helped me along.
Pavlov has been nothing but fun awesome ppl. I had a extremely competitive match where we all just stopped in the middle of the map and shook hands, grenades were dropped, laughs were had. Mind you all pre-release, as I haven't had time since launch.
I'll help straighten out the unruly ones soon
Onward players tend to love slow, planned out game play. I get it.. but to most - that's super boring, even smaller maps like you mentioned. You make one little mistake, run out over here, etc and you're dead then waiting for the next slow round. This game - you hop in - own - get rekt - etc, then respawn... at least in team deathmatch. They added a Search and Destroy mode which is more of a tactical gameplay mode, just like CS plant the bomb situation.
If you actually spend some time and check out how the guns and sights work, you will find they are 100% dead accurate, the scopes just need to be fixed. Manual reloading is amazing.
For $10, actually $6 for now since sale, you really can't expect them to have multiple maps or be polished as fuck. This was JUST released... and by the looks of it.. getting tons of bug fixed/patches already. The one map they have is amazingly put together and feels great to run around in. There are even spots for snipers to camp in this map, if they choose to sit there and wait for someone to appear, lol.
By the way charts/vrlfg is going.. this game - combined with new content, improvements and of course the Search & Destroy mode - will surpass Onward, already has a few times in this short 2-3 day release window, and maybe even RecRoom and Arizona Sunshine.
I fail to see your point, VR is a lacking industry right now so I made a comparison of the few competitive FPS's that we have at the moment, and in my comparison, one is far better than the other, it's still a valid point, and yes it's only $6 but that doesn't seem worth it at all to me when I can fork out a little extra for an overall better game with more and better maps.
