TROVE INSIDE NUTSHELL.

Someone asked 'What's hard about Trove / What's the game in a nutshell' and this is my summary, I'm a level 32 TR with 3 other classes above 15 and have around 75 hours at time of writing this.

Right now its a 50 hour playsink with some wallet warriors ruling the marketplace but its potential is undeniable, I know it's commonly said about MMO's but this game has uniqueness, it's just bland right now. This is my TL:DR of the game

learn the game levels 1-10,

spend your time in uber1-uber5 levels 11-20 getting enough gear level/mastery ranks to enter u6

enter uber-6 and make profit - but the game really ends progressively here

The monsters you kill dont even change in size nor color, it's the same dungeons thousands and thousands of times over. There's masteries and professions and a 'collection' system thats designed to make you feel like therer's infinite progression until you max out but in my small opinion the core gameplay is whats more important, and once youve gotten over the 'holy crap this game is something new and unique', it really starts to feel like youre stuck in a loop until you can afford to financially upgrade your gear.

The game is built on a structure that isnt at all desgined to be hard (Unless you picked Gunslinger or Neon Ninja, and for the sake of time im not going into class balance but holy fk), but only time consuming. The only thing to do is go find materials to create 'x' or to upgrade shadow levels of your gear. Once youre past using the earlier upgrade materials it's expensive as hell to progress and takes 5 hours+ for ONE tier upgrade (even if you make 3K flux/ hr reliably)

what keeps me playing is the club im in is full of ~200 nice/mature/experienced MMO people that make repeating dungeons / repeating mining / repeating shadow arenas at least a bit dynamic and fast, without a group to run with I would have quit already.

I recommend it because the developers are in touch with the community and the promise for the game is there. Club member restrictions need expansion, along with all the other side-aspects of the game. The core is just boring in my humble opinion.

Thanks for the read.
