*Update, apparently, while it's the same game, it plays differently on the Nintendo Switch. I bought it for the Xbox Series X, to give it another chance and I have to say, at 60 FPS, with tight, responsive controls...it plays like an entirely different game. I give it a 9/10.


I apologize for my original Switch Review:

Overrated. Poor level design and cheap mechanics. The only reason I've been playing this game on the Nintendo Switch, is because of my love for Metroidvanias. This will not withstand the test of time.

The map is useless, with or without the compas. The combat is unbalanced. The Nail Arts are useless. The charm and notch system is decent, however, the charms themselves are impractical (only a few are any good). The story? It's okay, but hardly memorable. The travel system; what's the point?

Long time gamer, quit for years. This game peaked my interest, enough, for me to tweak my high end laptop, for gaming. That being said...SSD has more than double the required storage...and a never ending inability to play the game. Initial download, no problem. Recent hotfixes? Can't play it. It's a never ending cycle of downloads. allocating space and running out of storage. Almost to the point, I want a refund. Great game; delivery, pure ♥♥♥♥. If you're thinking about buying the game...don't waste your time. Buy it in a year or two. If you have over 200Gb of extra SSD storage, maybe give it a try.

One of my favorite tower defense games.

I'll start with my one and only complaint: No Cloud Saves. (Unless it's been implimented since this review).

Other than that, it's the same TH I remember playing as a teenager, with the exception of a few tweaks here and there. Don't be fooled by the negative reviews, it's more than likely those folks were having a bad day and needed to vent some negativity on the internet.

What makes this game just as good as the originals, is the implimentation of manuals, reverts and everything else you can use to chain together a massive combo! Having these mechanics all while playing original maps adds a fresh new feel.

Kick ass, yet, in spectator mode, if you've choosen the option to display scores..I can't seem to exit that menu, passing by every round. With that, I've not ability to rejoin the action.
