I've never played a Fallout game before, never really was my thing. Fallout with friends however seemed like it would be a good time and it probably would've been if the game this long into it's lifespan didn't have the most horrendous bugs (worse than radroaches) and player interface. Everytime I switched from first to third person view, I would be stuck STARING at my character with all my controls inverted. If I went left, it was to my characters left while he was facing me, forward was backwards, backwards was forwards, so on so forth. This game has been out for almost 4 years and it has me wondering if they want this to be the first impression on a person newer to the series. There were a few others but that was the biggest and most frequent.

The other problem is how unclean the UI is. The workbenches when crafting or upgrading is really annoying to navigate and the only UI that I actually enjoyed looking at that I felt clean was the scrapping your gear at the bench UI. The PIP-Boy UI is hard to use, and frustrating for most of my hour I spent in the game. It comes up as this little screen on your wrist that doesn't cover your whole screen, making everything shrunk down and small. This would work if it also allowed you to move around while having it up but it doesn't. You get locked in place.

If you are new to the series like me, I would not recommend this game even if it's free as your first experience. It soiled any want or desire for me to play any past games of the franchise that were on my "I'll play them sometime in the future" list.

Super challenging gameplay, amazing art style, great world building, and a story that is efficiently told with only a few words here and there. If you love platforming, and platforming perfectly because this game will demand you do it perfectly at least 3 times, pick up Ori and the Blind Forest. It's only $5 so if you think you won't like it put a timer on your phone for an hour and a half and still give it a shot. If you don't like it just refund the product, but I am pretty sure you will just ignore the timer and keep playing! :)

The first "perfect this platforming or die until you perfect it" area is ROUGH but that sense of accomplishment was massive for me. Each one of this game's areas gets tougher and tougher and the thorns get thornier and thornier, really seek out your health and energy orbs after getting a few skills!!! Ability orbs are also insanely impactful as the default xp gain is quite slow so challenge yourself with this game's areas to find most of them to help you out in the end game.

This game is like if Darkest Dungeon and Slay the Spire had a love-child that grew up to be it's own responsible adult. 9.8/10

This game is really fun but its biggest drawback is a random forced stealth mission that doesn't fall in line with the rest of the game along with the end credits rolling in less than 90 minutes on normal difficulty. The powers you can use are fun and interesting, they make you feel like a force to be reckoned with; but by the time you get to understand how the powers work and combine together you've already reached/beaten the final boss. this game suffers from lack of content, story, and game length. It didn't need to be a 20 hours masterpiece for $20 but it for sure should've been ~6 hours long for that price. Unfortunately it isn't. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

I picked this game up and didnt install it for a while, but once i did i ended up not being able to leave my seat! this game has my gamer brain glued to the screen. i cant stop playing this game, im 16 hours in and im only 50% done with the completion. id highly recommend buying. only issues ive had are big frame drops in heavily bloomed/shadowed areas. other than that, the plot is intriguing, Lara is lovable, and the so far, not ALL the dudes want you dead!
