this was a ticket sent to steam and was told to post it here so i am this is mainly a complaint to steam!

Steam Family Share is implemented poorly and is in need of some tweaks. First, I purchased Hero Hour for $19 on October 27. I booted the game up for approximately ten minutes and requested a refund. I was denied the refund. Your system picked up the hours played on one of my family's copies of the game, having played more than 2 hours, then somehow made my copy of the game non-refundable. This should not have happened. On October 28, I requested the game for a refund again, not knowing what was happening and claiming that I only had to play the game for 22 minutes at the time of requesting it, not knowing that my newer copy was then being played by another family member, and drove the copy's hours played to about the 4 hour mark. Had I known it was my copy of the game, I would have had that member cease playing that copy. In hindsight, I 100% understand why the family's play time gets added to the copy times, but the issue at first was that it was adding i assume all play for all copies when I first requested the refund that needs to change as that is an issue as on October 27 nothing should have stopped the game from getting refunded. The next issue, I have no way of knowing who is playing whom's copy of the game, and I would like three categories for time play: one for the owner's time played, one for the family's time played, and one for the total time played for that copy. the image attached was taking while the family member was playing the copy in question and i had no knowledge of it as my time was not updated until after that member had gotten off and i the time played changed as he was using my other members copy but for what ever reason it defaulted to my newer copy i am the one whom started the family so i am assuming that it has something to do with that.
