Loyalty is a strong quality - and a vital one. Loyalty gains relations, which are necessary for a more full and complete experience. Ah, but who to be loyal to? You'll more often be with your commander (which is probably me, since you're reading this here), but what if it's not me, and s/he will almost certainly be out-ranked by someone. What happens if two conflicting statements are given? Well, giving guidelines on such an event is hard for two reasons:

1) The event will always be unique.
2) It will often be about non-regimental things in a regimental environment.

Therefore, in general, I say unto y'all: "Make your own stand and opinion, but defer to the judgement of the most superior officer if there is absolutely no other choice." Rank and structure is vital!

By those same lines, learn and know when to mess around a little (not trolling, though), and when to behave. This is not meant as an unkind of scornful comment at all, but rather as a reminder that you represent our whole regiment. Server admins and individuals don't much care for specifics. When people troll, t'others never say "[Person's Name]" is trolling; they always say "The [Person's Regiment]" is trolling. Keep that in mind; the 11th fell apart due to this sort of thing, and we will not follow!
