Hey Devils,

So it is looking pretty bleak over in Days of War land these past well....half year but really this past year and a half even.

I think it is time we let this ship sink, especially with it recently forgoing any plans to try and balance a realism community with a comp community in favor of going fully for a new comp based.

From talks with the developers this is confirmed and the original pitch of adding a realism mode has been withdrawn.

I do not know about you guys, but considering we where of the top tier in backer status, that came as a sharp slap in the face and clear indication that this game unfortunately will not become what it was shown to us during the Kickstarter.

This has also delivered another blow to my own personal willpower to really remain heavily interested in ever making the 3rd Marines into what I have always been hoping and trying to achieve for 7 very long years now.

So it is time for me to announce that the 3rd Marines will be giving up on being a professional realism unit.

Being a realism unit requires a lot of work. You have required training, member progression, rewards, admin levels, countless hours enforcing procedures, new join training...the list is never ending.

I have found myself actually enjoying (in a odd way) when the game we are in seemingly crumbles...giving me an excuse to freeze the unit and take a break from it all. It is the harsh truth I feel ashamed of admitting, but the truth it is.

So with all of that being said, if we decide to press forward, we will be taking on a new form and perhaps even a new game. A much more relaxed form...but unfortunately, a very unorganized approach that granted works just as well and has been utilized by pretty much every other realism unit to date, but you guys know me....I cannot stand not having a lot of attention to detail or information; but in order to continue on it is what will be needed.
