Please, investigate the moderators on CS2 forums.
Edit: They finally did ban the user. However, another user in this very thread is using the same words of harassment and nothing has been done. I was banned again today for "naming and shaming" which, came from a gameplay clip where I had of someone reporting me for cheating. I had to plead my case, which just hurts inside to do. They unbanned me as a gesture of "goodwill" but said my next may not be lifted.

Lastly, posts are now being deleted without context as to why.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There has to be a reason why harassment on that specific forum is so unchecked.

I made a thread and a user in there started harassing me with disparaging remarks to the effect of "you suck at the game" and made these remarks more than once. To quote:

Get over yourself already. You just suck at this game.

It's ok to suck at fast paced shooters when you're ~40. Well, maybe it's not ok to suck as much as you obviously but you know what I mean. It's ok. Are you afraid to admit you just suck and most of the playerbase is just better in general?

--------

This is definitely against the rules, right? It says we are not allowed to disparage others? I reported these posts as harassment. I also replied, of which, got me banned:

"You're the kind of sad person in these forums calling others bad at the game and making comparisons with no evidence to back up your claims.

Seems kind of desperate and attention seeking.

You know who else is desperate and attention seeking? Cheaters.

They need validation from others that they're "good" at the game.

They are insecure people and I encounter way too many of them in these forums.

Cheaters aren't just the weird kids you meet in game. They're the odd people you see on this forum too. They think nobody knows, but when it sounds like a duck, walks like a duck ... It's a duck."

-------

The user attacking me was not banned. I was.

In my eyes, I did nothing wrong but stand up to a bully. I think it's telling that this user was not banned. To me, this is evidence of "rules for thee, but not for me" and that has to be at the discretion of an actual moderator in these forums, using alts to insult and harass users with legimate issues with the game.

This kind of harassment is censorship of the worst kind.

Please, Valve, investigate this. I've made a support ticket that was only shut down.

If anything, others need to see the truth of how things are ran over there.

Thank you for your time if you read through this.

there is ALOT of favoritism and unprofessionalism in the Moderation "team" if you want to even call them that. None of them work together in a group setting so i dont even know why they call it a "team". Its not. But anyway, yes. Valve really needs to get serious with vetting who they bring on here because 90% of the people running these forums now really feels like its 1930s USSR most of the time.

You accused the mods of being cheaters. You accuse just about anyone who doesn't agree with you to be cheaters.

You shouldn't be surprised you got moderated.
Moderation is at crisies status.
the cs2 gamehub seems like a fascinating place

It's OK to stop playing a game that only manages to make you angry. In fact it's an advice that I 've been following myself for years.

Cheaters are rife within the CS2 forums. Some are actually open about it and in reality, are not all that bad. Because they at least acknowledge the sheer amount of people cheating.

The people that are terrible to deal with are the gaslighting "closet cheaters" who insist nobody is cheating and put down others for their own sick enjoyment.

Tito,

This is corruption my friend.

This is moderators using alts to insult customers and then banning customers when they feel offended.

It's really messed up. I hope you can see that.

Common tactic.
There's a reason the closet cheating clique runs around unchecked on those forums, gas-lighting with impunity.

It's from the top.

I've been a pretty solid user for 20+ years and I just can't believe this is what it's turned into.

Oh i believe it. I've been saying it here for years. It happened to me at EA years ago. Got chided, harangued and baited by a guy who was seemingly there all day. In the end, HE became the moderator, because he WAS the moderator, posting on an alt tag to protect the companies interests.

And they do it here at the Discussion btw, and so be careful who may be trying to bait you.

roger that.
I mean it IS plainly obvious that the posts you are highlighting above are obvious rule violations beyond any debate or question, and I don't think it is unreasonable to feel slighted that moderators did not make a move on them.
