can re-enter password

in the courthouse in quartz i didn't know i need a password so i somehow managed to run away without (not sure how), and now that i got the password i can't re-enter it. every time i go in the courthouse it go straight into battle. what can I do?

Is there a way to edit save files for this game? I've just started playing and it's INCREDIBLY difficult, would like to give my characters some advantages.
