Possible hacking
Just recently was playing on a deadmatch server and noticed one player suddenly changed his nickname into exactly same as mine. As we were playing, all of sudden i got kick reasoning as "you have been auto kicked" and fps dropped to 1fps in the menu, could barely use the mouse ! I have restarted the game and the single player menu seem fine, until i switched to multiplayer and was still having 1fps in the menu. What the hell just happened ?

sounds like youre playing weird servers. NVTS currently hosts the #1 ranked cod4 servers. we have hosted the safest, most populated, and most reliable servers for the last 3 years. join our discord nvts.online/discord

Your PC has been infected. Uninstall the game, run a virus scan on your PC, if you see that it has not taken effect, you will have no choice but to format it. I recommend that you never play that multiplayer of that Call of Duty or anyone else's again. They are no longer safe to play. There are many bad people on the servers who, apart from that, are hackers who host the RCE exploit, which is a Trojan that puts all types of malware and spyware on your PC, slowing it down and taking control of it by opening all the programs.
Trust me, I've been here for more than 10 years and I've seen all kinds of things.

Yea , stopped playing it ever since. What about mw2 or 3 classic ones? Are they safe to play?

None are safe to play. According to another thread this is the list of the other affected games:
-Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009)
-Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011)
-Call of Duty: Ghosts
-Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
-Call of Duty: Black Ops 1
-Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

There is an alternative:

There you can play on servers for both Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2, etc.
I W 4 X. If I put the letters together, Steam censors it.
