Hey, thanks, its a two person team.
It was initially possible to unlock FPS but it was causing problems so I had to cap at 60.
I've made experiments to find an alternative that wouldn't cause issues but haven't been successful. Framerate independent movement should have worked in theory from the start but turns out the feature that allows it in the engine is unreliable, which makes it tricky to fix.

Game looks awesome and I really want to play it, but 60 fps looks awful on my 240hz monitor. So it's a no go.

The game is fun and the presentation is excellent, but 60fps gives me a headache. I know it's the most first-world problem, but it's really killing my enjoyment of the game.

why 60 specifically? why not 70, 80 or 90?

majority of monitors run at 60Hz.
simple as that.

Because the fastest the human eye can see at is 60fps and most monitors are at 60hz due to this

look at all these people complaining about the game 'only' running at 60fps lmao. 60fps is the perfect fps, the human eye cant see past 60fps anyway

you are wrong.
the human eye can easily see higher fps.
can tell you've never used a 120Hz or 144Hz monitor.

i have played Counter Strike Global Offensive at both 120fps on a 120hz monitor and ive played it at 60fps on a 60hz monitor and i couldnt tell the difference. Regardless though; 60fps is enough anyway

That proves you have bad eyes, it doesn't prove humans can't see a difference between 30 and 60fps. I showed my dad my 144Hz monitor and he could tell a difference. He said it looked "smoother" and "clearer" without me telling him what to look for. He's a casual gamer btw, he plays like 2-3 games a year.
