If you are playing a Seasonal Character, in time you'll be using the Exchange option with them.
Contribution points are used to procure buildings in cities and invest in Nodes.
Buildings in cities, you are given choices, depending on the building.
They give more city inventory space, worker rooms, stable slots, etc.... the list goes on.
Nodes are areas where you send workers to gather stuff for you.
Nodes MUST connect to a city, so you start from the city and node your way out to other nodes.
I wouldn't worry about Nodes and workers until you have 50 plus contribution points.
City inventory space and stuff like that is more important starting out.
well at least i know that NOW and not even later.
thanks.
is there any form of shared bank or something so i can try and transfer some of my stuff?
I would use the silver from your other characters to buy good gear for your new one, if that's possible. You can store your silver at any marketplace in the warehouse tab, or convert it to gold and dump it in a storage somewhere, but that's kinda redundant. The fancy way of transferring gear is putting it in your family shared inventory, but that's limited and pricey to expand. Switch characters and dump your gear(If it's not class locked and not marked seasonal only) in storage location close to the character you want to take it.
least now i know i can market most of the stuff in my inventory and then transefer the coin to the replacemnt.
Then you can Graduate and your Seasonal Character and Gear/Weapons become Normal.
The biggest thing is get ALL of your Tuvala Armors, Weapons, and Accessories to PEN before you graduate. You'll be gimping yourself if you don't.
What I just wrote is a simple brief.
There are steps to Normalize everything upon graduation.

was confused as to why the shops wouldnt sell me stuff.
made a new, non season character and doing much bettter with it, even if these still stuff about the game mechancis im still learning or dont understand.
it takes 2-5 MINUTES per cast to hook anything.
Hit the P Key on your keyboard to see your current level fishing ability.
It'll be from 0 to 5 and is represented by 1 to 5 white dashes.
This link will explain more.

Then there is gear, that a seasonal character cannot use, but a normal one can, that reduces your fishing time.
I'm at Master 25 in fishing, I have 5 white dashes in fishing, with my fishing gear, I AFK approx one minute per each line cast.
i meant how many different charaters can i have?
As many as you want to buy
You get three slots initially from PA.
After that you can save your Loyalty Points and use them to get a character slot coupon which adds a character slot.
-or-
You can buy Pearls and use your Pearls to get the character slot coupon.
I suggest sticking with the initial three PA gives you.
That'll give you extra time in BDO.
Then make a decision after that.
