My Dota 2 Account Banned for Smurfing – Misunderstanding About Shared PC
Hey everyone,

I need some help with my Dota 2 account. Both my account and my younger brother’s account were banned recently for smurfing. It looks like Dota 2 thinks that our accounts are smurfs for my older brother’s account, but that’s not the case.

### The situation:

We’re three brothers who all play Dota 2 on the same computer:

- My account (this is my only account).

- My younger brother’s account (also banned during the recent ban wave).

- My older brother’s account (which is the main account on this PC and hasn’t been banned).

I think the system might have flagged our accounts as smurfs because we all play on the same device. But we’re all legit players on our own accounts, and my younger brother and I got banned, while my older brother’s account is still fine.

### Willing to provide proof:

We’re more than happy to provide any proof needed, like a video of all three of us playing on our own accounts or whatever the Dota team or Steam wants to verify this.

### What I’m asking:

This ban has really affected me mentally because it feels unfair. I haven’t been in the best state since the ban, and it’s really frustrating to be locked out of the game for something I didn’t do. I’m just asking for my account and my younger brother’s account to be reviewed again. I get that smurfing is a big issue, but this seems like a misunderstanding due to us sharing the same computer.

### Account Info:

- My Steam ID: 76561199096592822

- My younger brother’s Steam ID: 76561199523596039

And also Steam support was unable to do anything for me and said that Dota2 detected this.

Thanks for reading, and I really hope someone can help us out!

OP, nobody on this forum can help you at all. Mods here arent support and this thread might end up being closed for discussing bans.

Send a support ticket, it might take a long time to resolve even if all you're saying is true. We take everyting with a grain of salt and so does support.
