cut screen and brightness issues

I started playing this fine game again, after so many years, but no matter what resolution it always gives me screen problems (parts of the screen are hidden by a white block and I can't make selections and if I get into the game, the brightness is broken (convent and silver mine), that the game is almost unplayable.

right click the games exe in the files library. you can find these by right clicking the game in steam library then properties and local files. so in the properties of the exe try disableing full screen optimization i remeber haveing a similir bug as you. also there is a mod called age of reckoning that might or might not automatically launch better so try that too. if none of this helps tell me ill see if i can come up with some more solutions
