If you haven't done it already, you should be using DGVoodoo to resolve video memory issues you might be experiencing. Otherwise, there is the widescreen mod (which you can do a search in this game's Discussions to find a working downloadable link). If you're using the widescreen mod and cutscenes appear out of frame, try deleting or renaming the logo.bik and trailer.bik video files. Also editing the masquerade.ini to manually set your resolution... however, it is likely the changes will get reset after you do this, so be sure you set the file to read-only after making your edits.

The game does not update the graphics in any way.
Well, seeing that the game is over 20 years old, you will not get any developer support for modern hardware because Nihilistic Software has been defunct for well over a decade. That said, you're going to have to apply fan mods to get it running in 4k.
