Do crates improve with difficulty?
I'm finding veteran very easy, and champion kinda hit or miss, but if I grind levels on champion, will I be getting better stuff in crates? Currently, gear from crates caps at 300 power.

Yes, you do get better stuff from higher difficulty.

With how it works now, power is capped at 200 on veteran. And the power range of items you get from boxes increases with both difficulty and quality of the box. The only one that will get you 300 power items every time is an emperor's vault.

IIRC veteran boxes cap at 200 and champion boxes cap at 300, the best legend box should only drop 300s, there's no range at that point.

Also red item drop chances should increase with difficulty.

Xaphnir is right. higher difficulties (along with beating missions with books) gets you chests thats more likely to net you better gear. Champion difficulty can get you coveted power lvl 300 gear with the better odds as the chest goes quality goes up.

that said be ready for fewer consumable pickups and STAY WITH YOUR TEAM if you plan on playing Champion or higher.
