Question with final puzzle (Possible bug?)
So I'm on the final puzzle of chapter where you have to connect the wires and then at the part where the guide says to "press the spiky button in the top left" is where my problem arises.

Pressing the leftmost spiky button kicks my view out of the puzzle, requiring me to connect the wires again. Pressing the spiky button directly to the right of that one immediately crashes the game every time I click on it.

Has anyone else experienced this, or is this just dosbox freaking out or something?

I seem to recall there was something odd about the final puzzle... it may require right clicking instead of left clicking for the interaction to work.

Ah, I know the electric barrier in dimension X won't open until you right click on it so I'll try the right click on the control panel next time and see if that helps with it.

My game crashed on this puzzle.. putting me back to the last encounter with the police woman.

Watched the ending on Youtube instead, because the end game wasn't worth to replay.

I'm trying to figure out how to play it at least because I've streamed the game up to this point so I might as well show my viewers the ending if they've stuck with it this far.

I figured out what was wrong: The game will crash if you attempt to fire the laser without clicking on the circle that redirects the laser to one of the two systems it needs to power up. If you are reading one of the numerous walkthroughs online that tells you to fire the laser 3 times, just skip the first time, it is completely unnecessary to complete the game.

To solve the bug. You must do two steps:

- Delete 65535.MAP from Phant2 folder.
- Copy 3485.CSC from Phant2\Patches to Phant2 folder.

^ this worked, was watching a streamer patch it live and the game no longer crashed. If unsure rename the files instead of overwriting/deleting them.

3 years later and Pakolmo's steps worked for me.

6 years later and Pakolmo's steps crashed streamer's stream on Win 11.
Full screen and Alt+Tab breaks the OS

It's the 28th april of 2024, 7 years later, and Pakolmo's steps still work for me. I'm using Windows 10.

PS: Try inverting the color for the 3 wires, their colors are not right except the green one (this one is correct).
