English subtitles would be fantastic add ! and should be included in the game, absolutely !
2)Extract the Subpatch folder and put it on "\Gabriel Knight 2\GK2\" folder
3)Find the "RESOURCE.CFG" in GK2 folder, open with notepad or anything like that (maybe do a backup just in case)
4)Change "patchDir =\.PATCHES" to "patchDir = .\SUBPATCH;.\PATCHES"
5)Save, test
6)You should see subtitles now at the bottom of the game.
At least it worked for me.
That's great!
I'll give this a try when I get chance.
Thanks :)
edit: scratch the above, works great.
Thanks Saikyo.
I found the instructions for the english subtitles in this thread and page on GoG, maybe they are more clear with helping:
https://www.gog.com/forum/gabriel_knight_series/q_does_gabriel_knight_2_the_beast_within_feature_subtitles/page3
Thanks a lot Saikyo!
after extracting and adjusting the resource.cfg in the main game it no longer loads past the sierra screen.
Thank you very much - this worked for me!
Seems to only work with DOSBox sadly :S
With some games if you direct the launcher and add the a specific folder as 'Extra' it'll load the stuff in that folder when playing a game.
I tried assigning the SUBPATCH folder as 'Extra' but the subtitles don't load.
