is anyone able to play this game?

when i got this game on steam i tried starting it up but it would stay on the call of duty ww2 logo and the game never even goes to the menu, it just completely closes down and never actually opens up, is anyone experiencing the same thing or does someone know how to fix this?

Yea I just bought the game yesterday and am experiencing the same thing. Have you found a way to fix it?

I noticed that multiplayer worked, and under the executable properties it had override scaling controlled by application. I set this for the single player executable too, which didn't have it set, and single player works now too.

How did it go? I'm experiencing the same issues. Multiplayer never even makes it to the menu screen, either freezes on blank black or crashes. Singleplayer makes it at least to menus, then crashes as soon as cutscene for campaign level begins. It did not used to be this bad. But it did always have finicky technical issues.

This works! Thank you PaleBlueBot. Go into properties tab on executable (s2_sp64_ship.exe). Navigate to 'Compatibility' tab and click on 'Change High DPI Settings'. There will be an option to override and select scaling behavior to run on Application itself.
