So i wanted to start a thread that proved to be popular on se and start it on here so people can share the ships they have built. So to start this off this is my first ship built with a small mix of Iron and mostly titanium with resources found only in start system:

It carries 6 Armed Turrets, and 2 Unarmed
3Ghz Output Power, 3 System Slots and a crew of 24, its a beast

Just my first quick design. Dark gray (wish the game let you actually choose the color Black) cargo bays, some crew quarters in the middle of the hull safe and snug, hull integrity blocks on the spine. The techno-things around the solar panels are batteries.
Black glass to add fancy reflections =)

Glow blocks are your friend =)
Sadly the "Light" block is weird and just puts a dim hovering glow sprite over it. I feel these Glow blocks do a much better job acting as lights.

You guys with larger ships, are you starting to see larger AI ships spawn as well? Or still the small corvettes etc?
Really hope the AI ships grow in scale as you progress. Just feels weird you never see any huge ships when you start off (you'd expect that in a faction capital system, but they are all rather small)

closer to the centre of the galaxy im seeing friendly destroyers with 5k+ omicron firepower that obliterate many ships in one go. they are freaking huge with hit points to rival stations so yeah, they get bigger. just seems to be in contrast with either your power level or the proximity to the centre.

I give you the Iron Voyager, you best friend in the start system only iron to build this pupy may be slow to accelerated but with its high break velocity you wont be ram heading the asteroids. It also turns fairly wel for a ship of its weight class

If you want, post the ship file as well for others to be able to try out your creation. I see they are normally rather small files and should be easy to upload since it seems to be a single xml file. I may be wrong, but that is what I am seeing on a quick look through the files.

How exactly do you get that pointed noscone going? I dont really get it, struggling a bit.

Four angle blocks just select the oblong shape in v menue.

Notes: Inspired by X3 cargo transporters. The ship itself is hollow so that I can retrofit it with modules I want later on when I have enough resources to actually build them.

Theoretically you could even replicate ships in this game with enough time and patience.
