ism frustration - wish we could turn off 7zee upgrades to areas
you would't believe how much I was frustrated about ot being able to automate my grotto with rock/crystal, phosphor/honey, phosphor/boom and honey/boom largos with food from silo
literally had to step aside for 3 days to cool off lol
it was ridiculous

I know that this game is considered complete, but if I could just turn off the 7zee club upgrades to areas that would be great - the only thing that made me to desperately try to hold my rock/crystals in there was that glowing deco crystals added by the upgrade (honey/booms would have survived on non-optimal fruits just fine, but rock/crystals need their veggies)

all the huge flowers obscuring the ground added in the overgrowth were also frustrating, but at least I can automate chicken collecting without the need to squeese my eyes out trying to find said chickens - before the upgrade chickens were still visible if I used the jetpack or climbed that hill in the middle

looking forward to docks and lab upgrades tho, they look cozy

Not sure what you mean about not being able to fit enough buildings in an upgraded expansion(?), afaik the 7zee expansion upgrades are purely cosmetic and don't add more plots or gadget sites. For example the Grotto is always 5 plots, with 2 in the front and 3 at the back.

Completely agree with the flowers in the overgrowth upgrade, it's unnecessary and annoying having to stop and listen for stray hidden chickens (especially since I think completing story mode seems to net you even more of them...?)

I meant that the new aestetics of grotto made me desperately want to hold vegetable eating rock/crystal largos there, and that made impossible to use the drones for feeding. Because they would either fill fruit eater's feeders with vegetable, or opposite - veggie eater's feeders woth fruit, making food automation impossible.
Before the upgrade I was fine with phosphor/honeys and phosphor/booms and honey/booms sitting there eating cuberries (efficient for two out of three, but still fully automateable).

Ahh okay. Yeah I totally get you when it comes to wanting to match aesthetics in SR. The game has so much customization and options to mix-and-match after all. Personally, I got the Secret Style DLC when it was on sale because I totally dig the different skins of the slimes (only 4 of the 20 where I prefer the originals). Sucks that it only changes the pure slimes and largos and not the gordos or plorts (without mods) but still worth it on sale IMO.

That, and I kind of gave up on matching styles with the ranch areas early on, in favour of more efficient plort production for the lab and easier / safer largos for feeding (Some largos are uglier than their pure counterparts but the DLC does improve / upgrade some designs IMO). You do have decorations such as slime lamps, area-specific decos, ornaments, echos, gordos, etc. If those help in any way.

P.S. For anyone doing largo transfer / cleanup, don't do what I did and suck largos out of a corral one-at-a-time and throw them into the sea which takes forever. Instead, turn them into tarr in their corrals and snuff them out with water quickly (if you know what you're doing). Can't believe it took me that long to remember, lol.
