Confused / Upset with the volume and logistics?
I've made a guide video for anyone interested. I've seen a lot of frustrated people regarding the logistics system and volume. I'm hoping my video will help those people out. YouTube video

Thank you for the kind responses. I hope this will help people out. I really enjoy this game and I want to share it with as many as I can. The more of us that give it a chance and continue playing, the better the game is likely to become.

It may be a nice guide, I am thinking 9.x loses more players than it gains. I have over 2800 hrs playing, just post a negative review og EGS. 9.x is too far.

Logistics is cool no matter you play with Volume or not.

However you cannot play with Volume if you do not understand Logistics.

PS. I didn't try Volume yet. I see that it could improve some experience, still I fear it could also introduce unneeded troubles to me. At current state of the game I have some troubles already, so not sure if I want to bring some more. (In particular I'm now affected by NPC shooting through walls issue, destroying my stuff very unexpected way). I also think that Volume is a bit less important feature than for example Story progress.

Myself and my players on my server have really liked the new logistics system. Now, we don't have the volume limits enabled yet (baby steps), but we wil probably do so on our next playthrough.

RIght now our only real complaint with the system is that we are still limited by how many "squares" there are in a cargobox. We'd love to see the slot-based management go away and instead just have a "list" based inventory (or at the very least, have more than one page of cargo container inventory if the container has the volume to hold its materials.

Nicely done, Dycart. Although I don't agree that logistics added anything but tedium and confusion to the game, you did an outstanding job of explaining it to those that do not understand it. Many however, DO understand the system and do not like it.

You also need to be aware that this is just the first iteration of the logistic/volume mechanic. We have yet to see how the final function will be. Each and every new feature that has been implemented in EGS has been met with risistance until it has grown and is now enjoyed by most users.
