Are we experiencing server issues?
I've tried a few times to join in the QP fun last couple hours. Every time the game has either crashed or lost connection while trying to log in. Last time i played successfully was yesterday, nothing significant has changed on my end. I have gone thru my troubleshooting routine of turning everything in the house on and off again, verifying files, etc.... :steamsalty:

Is it just me?

And now i'm "being penalized" for "quitting matches early" :steamsalty::steamsalty::steamsalty:
Nope it's doing it to me too. It's this new steam.. It's gotta be. I've signed on, played a match, waited for loading screen to go back to mech bay. Get's there boom! "server has lost connection" reboot, same play part of match, boom. Reboot whole game, verify files, go back on. On less than 30 seconds, boom! Same thing. Steam is trying to keep up with EA's screw up with their forcing EA game players to use their new "App" (Which is absolute garbage b.t.w.) And make it semi compatible with some of their games that are still available on Steam. BUT... I think the screwed up "App" may have infected the "New" Steam as well, and is causing all the B.S. Server disconnects now.

Same. Penalized for leaving the matches, but every time I'm about to load into the match I get booted to the garage and told "Disconnected from game server"... The hell?
Routing issue most likely. Try a different DNS server.
Location/ISP/make-model of router/modem?

-- Have you done a Verify integrity of game files in Steam?
-- Have you installed any 3rd party sound mods. After a patch, a mod may cause issues until the developer of said mod updates it.
-- Turn off router/modem for 30 secs (should do this on a regular basis)
-- Test by changing DNS servers from default/ISP to Google/etc
-- Do a flush dns then reboot computer
-- Test utilizing a VPN. Several that can be used for free if you Security software does not have one built in. Going VPN has the potential to redirect/reroute the pathway your connection takes to the servers, meaning it may get you around any problematic routing management servers your normal pathway to MWO main and game servers would normally go through.

And the post about the servers is important. There is the authentication server in Canada that the client is always connected to, then the NA server, the EU server and the Oceanic server. Depending on your location, test by removing 2 of the servers and test.

Last option, since download/install standalone version, in case there is an issue with the routing to/from Steam host.

this only started happening after the most recent update. this not an "us" issue but rather a dev issue.
Behold my powers of Necromancy, yeah the game still has this issue and is unplayable for me. 5.5 hours into the game according to steam, about 1 of those hours worth of gameplay. This has been an issue from what I read for YEARS now, and they just...don't care. Game has a low playerbase, I doubt they get much money from this game anymore to justify the expenses of having the server running, probably just waiting for the playerbase to get so low they can turn off the server without much objection.
