Good

A decent action RPG, that's faithful to the lore, and expands the universe by providing a pretty fun side-story to that in the books. The combat is enjoyable; each of the 3 characters has a unique playstyle (you can choose from a dwarf champion, a human ranger, and an elf lore-master), and all the locations you visit are interesting (starting your adventure in The Prancing Pony, you'll visit some iconic locations like The Barrow-downs, Rivendell, Carn Dûm, and even the first depiction of Mount Gundabad).

The main drawbacks are that the combat can get repetitive, the levels are pretty linear (not much room for exploration), and the story's a bit underwhelming (it doesn't have many stand-out moments).

Hopefully one day it will return to the storefronts, as it's a fun game, especially in co-op.

This game is awesome!!!!!

Pretty decent Hack & Slash set in the Lord of the Rings lore, you can control 3 different characters which you have to choose when you start a new level, then you can level up and equip them with a better weapons or armor, while the combat is not something with the same appeal of a Devil May Cry game, it´s still very juicy.
Although it came out in 2011, when you are playing this it feels that it was made in 2001, around the same time that the movies came out, that´s mainly because of the missions structure. You enter an area, enemies appear, you kill them and then you move foward, and that´s pretty much it.
Don´t expect too much, but it´s still good, pick it up only on sale.
