144fps issues

when trying to play, the screen becomes nigh-unreadable with only the grid and the background showing, the enemies and ship are still there but i can't see them, please help!

figured it out(?) wasn't the high refresh rate but it wwas the fact i was using a high quality mode with the nvidia app's antialiasing-mode toggle set to override instead of application controlled, swapping it to be application controlled did fix it though
