Grey Goo
Launch or Start up not working.
Firstly, Love this game. Im a huge fan. Was playing it yesterday, no issues. Today I logged into steam, booted up GG and I et the small window that shows the Beta, Humans and the Goo in the background, then it fullscreens into black nothingness. I waited the first time for 10 mins, and nothing happened. Second time I restarted the computer, then checked for an update, validated the files and tried again. Same issue. For the third time, I installed the newest version available of my graphics card drivers, OS (Windows 10) and restart the computer again. This time I logged into steam, tried to launch it and the same result. I've tried this with other games, all seem to work. This, specifically seems ot be a Grey Goo Issue. If anyone knows what to do to fix this, please let me know

I have the same issue and I do not know if/when there will be a fix for it.
I found a hopefully temporary fix to this (that at least worked for me).

When you're at your library - right-click on Grey Goo - hover cursor over Manage - Browse Local Files - Launch/Double left click on the application file named "GooG"

The game should launch then, at least I hope it does.

I myself have an issue as of right now where I want to play the campaign and when I click on "Enter Battlefield" nothing happens. I can't back out, I have to restart the game if I want to try again to just fail once more, validated files, reinstalled 4 times, restarted my PC, everything; nothing.

Did you guys install the game on an SSD? I've noticed I had very long load time to get past the splash screen for the game when it's on a HDD, which has over 200MB/s Read/Write. When moved the game to M.2 NVME SSD, it still takes a bit to load, but significantly quicker.

I have it in a M.2 as well and it just doesn't even get to the loading screen. It just doesn't launch the mission at all.

What are your PC specs?
Did you get your BIOS, CPU, GPU, and Windows updates?
Have you tried on other PCs?
This may be extreme, but have you tried with a clean Windows install?

Everything is up to date and I have passed the recommended requirements for the game.
I don't think it's worth going that far because I just started playing other games.
Thanks for that though!
