Where 120bpm means it has a change / moment that should align with the beat at every half second.
In one of the upcoming updates I'm planning to add support for videos of other BPMs as well.
As for upcoming features, see the Early Access section on our Steam page for future plans. After the bugs are ironed out, and a partial UI overhaul, the plans are to add music driven shader support, workshop support, and then later on advanced AI features.

if it would be able to make random time jumps on the beat in my custom video, that would become very interesting I think. Also being able to mute imported videos sound would be nice feature. Wish you luck with project!
