This is a long shot, I know.

After the Nuxx/Acid Mix selection screen, I get the following pop-up window:

Oh Dear ! The sheep says BAA !!!

One or more errors occured while initialising the video device
The following problem(s) been found :

This is a fatal error. Neon will now exit.

(there are no problems listed)

Any suggestions?

I play on the deck but was having the same issue for the longest time. The reason appears to be that the internal game resolution in the menus was set higher than the screen res that the deck was running (in my case, 800p screen, was 1080 ingame in the menus).

I fixed it by setting the resolution the deck was going to run it at 4k which allowed me to boot into the game and adjust the res in there to get it all working. For me I set it at 720p ingame, then reset the deck res to 800, then back into the game and adjusted it to 800 there so it syncs up.

I ended up connecting it to a 4k monitor and setting the game resolution to 1920x1080. It works perfectly now.
