But pls, can you use your editor again for some improvements? ;-)
In the game options you can change the modies: Collisions and power ups on or off. It would be better imo, if u change the paramter for "Collisions and power off" with your recent fix. U need only to enable the collisions. In this mode are no powerups-points/spawns on the track!
Leave the "Collisions and power ups on" mode original with powerups on. Your recent fix could make probs in the multiplayer!
Greetings and thx again!
The above is too complicated for me but if you could make a Data file with powerups off and collisions on that woud be great. Thanks.
So...if I use your mix file I get power ups = OFF, while I have colisions with other cars on?
Also I get names off?
If I may answer this as I am using the file. You get powerups off and collisions off (which you get in game anyway if you choose it in the menu) and you get names off.
So really all it does it remove the names.
Thats why I have asked the chap for what you have mentioned in your post.
Thank you for the reply and thank you to the original poster.
I bought the game yesterday and tried this and it does exactly which everyone here wants.
To people asking above, it disables power ups completely , yet it keeps collision on and it removes the big ugly names too. Make sure in game you don't have Power ups/Collision off, otherwise u won't be able to see the difference.
With the mod, the power up stars will be on the track as normal, but the AI can't use it coz its disabled, but collision works like normal.
But I think it doesn't works online, yet to try online, having too much fun in single player only ,
For single player only, its a great mod which fixes the main problem which everyone has with the game. I have only unlocked tracks till Portugal , it has worked fine till now.
This Mod + Hard Difficulty, is so much fun without the annoying power ups.
I assumed still having the stars on the track meant the powerups were still working. I have never ever played with powerups on so I didn't know they were disabled. (I still dont know what they do or what happens and neither was I aware the AI could also use them)
Thanks for bringing more clarity.
KaLeun, could you send me the link/mod please? I have have great interest in your mod since I think it would GREATLY improve the experience of this game.
