I don't get the criticism, players will find a way to exploit literally everything when a thing changes or is added anyway?
Like we already have the Raiding build blocking timer,
Having to waste a load of resources just to break down a wall?
Or worse, use explosives to do it quickly, while also letting the entire server know that you are online/vulnerable/and have explosives?
Like, I don't see the negative impact;
letting someone get that far into the base is already a massive punishment and a sign the a pvp base it probably just built like ♥♥♥♥. It is a lesson that new players going into the PvP environment are going to be forced to learn anyway, even without the soft/hard distinction.
When all that is really being asked for here, is the ability to redesign/adjust the base without needing to take several minutes on a single wall.
A feature that is quite literally thee most noob friendly thing that could be added.
The second issue is players that are being raided will place walls throughout their base and simply demolish them once the raiders give up. This is why metal shop fronts have no soft-side as an example.
This has been added in this month, wallpaper can be added to hard-side as long as it's inside the base. If the wallpaper becomes exposed to the outside it will decay.
