I like this game, but the balance is just terrible. There's like one or two viable builds that can get you to higher levels. Everything else either just flat out sucks, is bugged, or appears too infrequently so you get out-scaled by the monsters quickly.

There's some odd monster design decisions where monsters start appearing later on that you'd need to specifically plan around from the beginning or you just lose when you run into them.

This game is a great idea with poor execution mostly due to the dev micromanaging balance instead of making the game fun. Just a reminder to the dev, you made a singleplayer game. You didn't make a multiplayer PVP game. Overall game balance is not as important as playing experience. You don't need to nerf everything into the ground that is remotely decent with every update.

Developer has a nice post about "development philosophy" and then goes ahead and has an enemy called "Kotya" that one-shots you automatically on a technicality (you have to click a different enemy -- no warning whatsoever, and completely unprecedented in the game to that point) after hours of your life building a perfect run.

My design philosophy is not to have stupid things like that. That's just me I guess.

Game is fun at first but gets boring fast if you wanna try for long runs since there is only 1/2 builds that actually works
